Good apartment in old and unsafe building

Well-equipped apartment in good location, strong wifi

The general building is old and delapidated, see our added pictures. The corridors are small, low ceilings, with worn-out carpet everywhere. The balconies are very dated and need repair. There is NO FIRE SAFETY: only one smoke alarm in the apartment, no smoke alarm in the corridors, no fire alarm anywhere, no alternative fire exit, no visible fire extinguishers. This is very worrying as the apartment is on the third floor!

Works for summer but not for winter and needs some repairments.

*great location: relatively low time investments needed to start day trips in the mont blanc region *apartment: clean, not very big but smartly furnished with multiple drawers and boxes to store belongings, good quality and quantity of kitchen equipment

*the sleeping room upstairs has no heating. it gets very very cold up there in winter (also because the huge window (one glass) does not provide for any insolation. we all catched a cold. after a few nights we decided to abandon the room and sleep on the couch downstairs. i know this is very subjective, but because of this, i wouldn‘t recommend this apartment in the winter period. *unfortunately some equipment did not work: tv upstairs, one plate of the stove which was very annoying because there was only one let to cook with. *the shower was not really pleasant since the shower head was not functioning well (small hard ray of water, with water leaking out on the sides of the shower head) *overall, the whole building itself is quite run down (hallways, elevator was broken 3 times in 10 days) and this apartment in particular has a view on other apartments and the parking lot instead of the mont blanc mountain range. considering the price, what you get for it, and what i am used to as a frequent tourist in the alps, i wouldn‘t book this apartment again.

Great kitchen but cold bedrooms and shower

Kitchen was very well equipped, all good quality and great for a family stay.

Shower needs fixing, water goes everywhere and it was tepid not hot. When you coming back from all day skiing all you looking forward to is HOT shower. Unfortunately that was not it. Also there was only one heater in the kitchen for whole property plus little one on the wall in the bathroom. Upstairs was really cold, when I rang to ask for additional heater I was told ‘there is a law in France that if the property temperature is average 18’C we don’t have to supply anything’. I must say this wasn’t customer service I was expecting for £750 for 4 nights.
