Highly recommended place to vacation.

Although we were up the road from a high-end property were able to walk there and enjoy the ocean and order food, etc. Our Wooden House was comfortable and staff was great as was breakfast. I enjoyed the pool every day after swimming in the ocean. There are very good warungs on the beach and just up the road. Our favorite was Reef Seen on the beach. Also the snorkeling is fantastic. You can rent the equipment for 50,000 rupia and see amazing coral and fish right off the beach.

Everything in this place was perfect! The room is clean, staff were very nice and professional. They are very attentive and excellent with their job. I forgot to take the names of the staff who assisted us. The tall lady and the man. I would like to commend them but i forgot to ask the names. 😩The pool was perfectly warm. The ambiance was perfect. This is a highly recommended this place definitely will come back!

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff and service

I stayed here for 3 nights and was fabulous. To start my stay off on a positive note, when I arrived I was quite unwell with a head cold and when I enquired as to the nearest Apotek (Pharmacy), the lovely Kadek advised me that it was 5 km away but he would arrange for someone to drive me at no cost. I booked a superior room which was not one of the wooden houses but a room that adjoined another room, Kadek offered me a free upgrade but I didn't bother because I was completely happy with my room, it was spotlessly clean, had a super large bed and great aircon. The grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept as was the swimming pool. All the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to make my stay perfect. For breakfast you could choose between omelet or pancake which would be served with a plate of tropical fruit and your choice of juice, my particular favorite juices were watermelon and papaya, you could also have tea or coffee if you wished. The beach was easily accessed through the Taman Sari hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Permuteran.

I would say the only drawback was that they do not have a restaurant on site, that said breakfast was ordered in and they would come around each afternoon to take your order and there was a couple of lovely warungs to the left of the hotel a little way up the road and to your right was the Taman Sari hotel with a some what more up market restaurant and it is not that far to get to the main street and there were several more restaurant options there.

It's a small hotel with around 10 bungalows, but very clean and very well maintained

The room and the pool are excellent. Also the areal is quiete small but there is enough spaces between the houses to have privacy.

The breakfast is tasty (omlet, scrambeld egg, pankake with one fresh pressed juice). But you need to be aware that the breakfast is really small! But for so little mony (3 Euro!) it is toally okay. If you want a bigger breakfast, then you need to go to an outside coffe shop which is 8 min away.

Special place to stay in Pemuteran

Kubu Padi feels like a boutique hotel, but without the high price. The wooden houses are roomy and attractive, with a big front porch. Pemuteran was hot during our week, so we needed to use the air con to escape from the heat sometimes. Front porch had a fan. Headed by Kadek, the team running the place are charming and efficient. So glad we stayed here rather that the big resort next door! Had my birthday during our stay - lovely surprise cake at breakfast!)

Very nice, quiet and comfortable!

The house is situated in a garden near the swimming pool and near the beach. In the direct surroundings there are several nice warungs where you can eat. Kadek arranged a snorkel tour which was very nice. The staff is very friendly, so we really recommend this place.

NIce, relaxing stay.

I really liked the staff, everyone was so nice. My room was big and comfortable too. The AC worked well and the shower is inside for those who don't like the outdoor style Balinese showers. The owner is super and picked me up from my previous hotel, which was close by, before my check in. The room was ready for an early check too. I reserved a ride to the ferry after check out, which is about 45 mins away. And the owner drove me himself. He was very professional and nice. I had 2 in room massages. The masseuse was excellent, she came right to me room. The pool is nice and clean and the grounds are lovely. Communication is good too. Much better than many other places. The staff will help you with anything that you need, they are super helpful and friendly. They have staff available at all hours, as far as I could tell. They sell beer and drinks there, but there's not a restaurant onsite for dinner or lunches. But there are 2 warungs down the same street, about 3 mins walk and lots of other restaurants within 10-15 min walking distance. A couple of convenience stores too.

That there wasn't hot water, but that seems to be common in West Bali. The fruit was good for the breakfast, but I wasn't a fan of the banana pancakes, if I was going to be picky. And the cups to serve warm drinks for breakfast were lovely bamboo, but if you drink tea, they taste a little like coffee because they absorb the taste. Again, these are very small annoyances! Maybe a fan in the bathroom to air it out, since there is no window.

Great Place.

Lovely property in a great location with a stunning, large pool. It was great to have air conditioning and a fridge to keep drinks cold.

The room we stayed in had common walls and no privacy on the little deck. Fine for one night but if I stayed longer I would choose one of the stand alone bungalows.

Excellent environmentally conscious paradise!

The room was clean; breakfasts just right and on time; helpful staff during illness. The pool area and garden are spectacularly peaceful. Suggestions: communicate on advertisement of hotel that the outside open shower is part of the environmentally conscious style and is open to natural tropical elements. As the room is on a higher level to the shower area, inform this detail under accessibility section.

Fantastic location, lovely clean pool excellent staff. I Highly recommend.

It was everything we needed. I loved the outdoor shower. The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, coffee/tea and a main breakfast plate. We found that having a fridge in the room was ideal to fill up our water bottles with the free drinking water, so we had nice cold water for the next day. Our dive course started in the pool right outside our room. The restaurants around were all a 5 mins walk away as was the beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. A great place to stay. We would definitely stay here again if we dive here again.

Lovley gem of a place to stay!

This is a gem of a place to stay! It’s quite private and very relaxed. The staff were welcoming and friendly.. Close to the beach as well as local restaurants and services. I loved my wooden bungalow— with great air conditioning and hot water. I booked my Advanced Scuba course and my skill tests were conducted right off the beach at BioRock, a 3 minute walk from here. Great snorkelling and scuba diving. My favourite place in Bali so far. Great for a solo traveller.

Best stay in Pemuteran, clean, roomy and great staff!

My stay in Kubu Padi has been great! Staff is very kind and helpful, they upgraded my to a Bungalow which had a super clean and new outdoor bathroom with shower. The bed is comfy and new, there's a nice pool and you have everything walking distance (nice warung, little markets). Beach and dive shops are close. The pool is a little warm but crystal clean. The facility is new and well maintained, in a quite road away from main road traffic and noise. The best accomodation in my long stay in Bali and a great value for money.

Wonderful place and people

We loved our stay at Kubu Padi. The staff were wonderful, responsive and incredibly helpful. The grounds and wooden rooms are delightful - expect to see and hear lots of gheckos - which are great for keeping away the bugs! Pemuteran was a lovely village with some excellent local warungs for eating options. Beach was an easy 5 minute walk away and the locals friendly. We had a mini fridge in our room which was great! Also appreciated the filtered water refills provided. We would definitely stay here again - fantastic value for money.Thankyou!

Peaceful and lovely place ♥️

Relaxing place to chill out. Beautiful and super clean wooden houses. Awersome pool. Super kind staff. Very good breakfast. We booked 3 activities with them (snorkeling in Menjangan, trekking in the mangrovies of Bali Barat and Tour to the Ijen) and there were perfect, very interesting and fun and Kadek was very kind and helpful. Thank you! We will come again in the next trip!

Room is very spacious and well designed. Bathroom is balinese style. Swimming pool is just right at the front of the room. Great time to chill after a day out. Simple breakfast is provided. There is a drinking water refill station near the room.

Nice property, located on a short walk from the beach. We were upgraded to the wooden houses. They are nice and comfortable with a small terrace in front. The staff was very friendly. Clean room.

Would definitely recommend staying here

We had an amazing time here. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help and accommodate us. This started when we were picked up from the harbour in the middle of the night by the friendly owner and continued throughout our stay. At the property, we particularly enjoyed the big pool and the clean and beautiful surroundings. The location of the property is relaxed and quiet, close to the beach and with some nice restaurants nearby. Also there are great snorkelling options, both at the nearby beach and at Menjangan island. The team is happy to arrange a tour or a driver. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Kubu Padi was an awesome place to stay. We were a family of 4, from New Zealand and stayed here for 3 nights. We were greeted with a welcoming lemon drink and Kadek checked us in (he made an effort to remember all our names). All staff were amazing. We were able to check in early. The Pool was great!!!! Well kept grounds. We were offered to have our rooms cleaned every day. Great clean outside bathrooms. Awesome showers. Concrete gym on site for the active rester, and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. We requested a fridge which was put in our room. Kubu Pasi is a 2 min walk to the beach, access via a resort on the beach. Down at the beach was great snorkelling as this beach has Bio Rock coral restoration project. A short walk from here was a Turtle sanctuary where we were able to release a baby turtle into the sea and follow it (with snorkel and mask) as it swam away. Although there is no meals on site except breakfast (this is something they want to work on) there are two fantastic Warongs a short walk away, and also the resort near the beach for western food. We loved everything, snorkelled every day and really don’t want to leave this very affordable accommodation.

I liked te setting of the hotel, close to the beach. The place is quiet and has quite a big swimming pool. It has no restaurant, but 50 meters down the road there is great Warung. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful in any way. Although the room comes without fridge, they brought me one, to keep my water and Bintang cool. Snorkeling tours, laundry...you can have it arranged by the staff. If you like hiking a little, take the small footpath to the left down the road, you can walk all the way to the end of the peninsula and climb the small hill, where there is also a temple and if climb a little further, great views on the volcanoes of Java.

There is no hot water in the shower.

Would I stay there again ... yes!

Loved the size of the room and the mosquito net over the bed. Staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much for them. The owner (Suki) was excellent in assisting with a couple of very minor issues that came up. For example - no fridge in the room so one was organised promptly. Breakfast delivered to the room was nice as no onsite restaurant

All rooms should have a fridge and a drying rack for towels/swimmers/etc. We stayed in a deluxe room (not the wooden bungalows), there was no hot water and when you ran the shower the whole bathroom floor got wet as there was no shower curtain to stop this. The bathroom looks fantastic so this was a bit of a disappointment Needs somewhere onsite to buy soft drinks/beer/chocolate/snacks instead of having to walk up the street.

We enjoyed the hotel, in particular its garden and swimming pool, the people working there, who were particularly kind, and the breakfast, simple but very good and enough quantity. Besides, the location between the beach (200m) and the restaurants (300m in opposite direction) was perfect for enjoying snorkeling and local food.
