2 flights of stairs and no elevator was rough with 3 suitcases. Other than the stairs, the apartment was wonderful.

Excellent and very comfortable

Natasa our host was very accommodating and got us into our room earlier than expected. The room itself was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfy, the air con was fantastic and we had a choice of over 7,000 free movies to watch - amazing. Location was in the old town of Split and close to everything. A 2 minute walk to Ciri Biri Bela for a great feed. 2 minute walk to Motabella for a fantastic focaccia. I would stay there again if I returned.

Like any old building in Croatia there is a stair case to navigate but this is a minor inconvenience

Cute room in a nice area

The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. There was a small refrigerator and a bigger one in the reception/kitchen area. It was a nice area with a lot going on. Restaurant across the street had good pizza

A flight of stairs led to the first floor of rooms. We found the lockboxes to the rooms difficult to read. Only contact with the manager was via text but that wasn’t a problem. The weird thing is that the Booking Ad said parking, and spa? No on either. You need to walk a few minutes to get out of the pedestrian-only area. Wasn’t a problem for us. If you have Room 1 bring earplugs. Street noise can get a little loud

Great location - yet quiet. Natasa was extremely helpful with instructions to get to the property and get in.

Room and bathroom were a bit tight, but that was the trade off for a superb location.

Worst choice in Split! Dont do it- keep scrolling. Natasha was useless and was locked out of property!

Let’s start… arrived late and got instructions. However NO room was available- got instructions for an occupied room and NO response, no returned call or any help whatsoever. It was a nightmare and after 30 hours of travel this was not the welcome you want. Captains House is a up many flights of stairs and you can’t carry luggage up- so if you have a back pack and want to sleep on the couch in the reception area, this place is for you. Period. Natasha should be let go immediately as she is a ghost on the property.

Not here!

The room was clean.

The staff attitude was reprehensible. Our flights were delayed and we got in late. The person answered the phone once and then refused to respond to texts. (The place is unstaffed and only works by code and contacting someone). The person who got in first could not get through to the ‘person on call’ who refused to answer the phone or respond. She stood outside ringing the bell for quite a while until my flight landed and I could send her some instructions to get in. Then my friends who also had a room got the exact same codes for ‘their room’ which was our room. No one would help us and is was midnight at this point. We’d been traveling for two days to get to Split and were exhausted. I finally figured out how to get into another room. Some woman called my friend the next morning yelling at her about texting and insisting she had given her the correct instructions. When my friend said no you sent me the same, the wacked out attendant started screaming at my friend telling her to get out! It was 8am. Then the attendant sent the cleaner to bang on the door at 8 am. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere with normal people.

We completely enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect, our room was bigger then we expected and very clean, we felt this property was good value and would return.

There is no elevator so be prepared to climb some stairs.

Fabulous Room, good location, helpful host

Beautiful airy & sunny room, well appointed with comfortable bed, coffee maker & fridge. A small shared kitchen available though we did not need to use it. No reception staff but secure entry arrangements very easy to follow: & the host readily available by text/phone for any query. Location very good, a five minute walk from Diocetian's Palace & two minutes from the Riva/ harbour front.

Perfect stay

The Captains Guest House was everything we could have wanted. The location on the edge of the old town was perfect for exploring the area. The room itself was very clean (as was everywhere we went in Split), well equipped and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony which was a lovely addition. All the staff we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful, allowing us to leave our bags before official check in time, and also again after we had checked out before our airport transfer.

The perfect property for a stay in Split.

The location was perfect and a five minute walk to the bustling sea front. My room was comfortable, spotless and had all the facilities I needed. The staff made my stay perfect and went out of their way to help. I don’t often write a review but on this occasion I felt I needed to make an exception. A great place to stay and I’ll hopefully return.

Right in the thick of life!

The staff was over the top nice and helpful. Gave great recommendations for meals and the room was spotless and very comfortable. A great use of technology to gain entry and the space was used well thought out. Helped us find nearby parking. Really nice folks!

This room was right over a main pedestrian area and it was a Saturday night. The tourists were loud and we could hear every footstep as well as words. But in terms of being in the thick of things, this room was a great location. I just was not a fan on the noise we could hear from others.

Unfortunately TV was not working. But we were not spending any time in room anyway, other than in evening and morning. We were hoping to catch up on the news, but with excellent Wifi, we were able to do that.

Sad to leave

The property was super spacious and in a great location. Natasa was very accomodating and allowed us to check in at 9am as we were really early from our flight. We would absolutely recommend this place and stay here again! The bed was the comfiest bed we have ever slept in!!

The location in the centre of the city is perfect - everything is just a few metres away - including supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, cafés and restaurants. The rooms are exceptionally designed and cosy and you have access to a fully functioning kitchen. Natasha has been so helpful and lovely. This combination made our stay absolutely perfect!

Captain's House last night in Croatia

Really Central and big room with lots of space. Nice to have a table and chairs to sit at. Nice Bedding with prettu furniture. There is a shared kitchenette where we were able to make Tea in the evening.

Unfortunately the sink was out of action in the room. We were offerred our money back so we could rebook but it was very busy in Split due to the football and we were very happy to use the tap in the shower while we there.
