Great value for money. Located in the quieter part of town.

The hotel was located about 20 minutes walk from downtown/ old town but right across the road theres bus stop that takes you directly to the old town (about 10 minutes bus ride). Upon check-in we were greeted by a very friendly staff. The room was very spacious as we got upgraded to garden view. Breakfast choice was plenty and delicious!

AMAZING AND LUXURIOUS!

This place is INCREDIBLE! The views are beautiful. The staff is so kind. The rooms are luxurious and super clean. Food is amazing and I love the free breakfast! And don’t even get me started on how much I love that gym!!!

The only complaint I have is my room was super hot. I believe that was because the sun sets right into the room i was in, so even with the curtains closed it was still pretty warm (and there’s no A/C at this time of year, which I understand since it’s getting colder). But i just slept with the balcony door open at night and it was good! And honestly the view made up for the heat!

Design good - view & location so-so

Breakfast was excellent. A good variety of items, breads, yogurts, fresh fruit, etc. The hotel has a well maintained garden in and around a swimming pool. Designer elements in the rooms, some with balconies. Gym was small but offered everything one needs for a solid workout. Visitors card allowed for free bus to and from downtown Bolzano.

We were in a double room under the roof. No balcony. The skylight in the new bathroom was overshadowed by lots of rather large bird droppings. Hmmmm. Staff was rather nonchalant about the problem. We slept with an open window so we heard the trains throughout the night.

I really enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very welcome.

The room was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had nice supplies - soaps and vanity box. The view was nice. It was good to have mini bar and a fresh jug of water was provided each morning, I found the staff in restaurant, reception and Bar to be extremely friendly. The housekeeping was super efficient - my room was cleaned each morning when I returned from Breakfast. The television was of excellent quality and had ample supply of channels. The breakfast buffet was superb - very well presented - even Champagne on ice. The cheese, meat, fruit, bread egg and smoked salmon variety was excellent.

I would have liked to have a coffee making facility in room as I missed this.

Gem of a hotel

Staff was extremely accommodating, especially Jacob. Very clean. Easy walk to town 20-30 minutes. The #8 bus stops across the street from hotel for transportation into town. Very nice atmosphere. Boutique hotel. Great choices for breakfast buffet. Wonderful restaurant for dinner. Parking underground.

Based on pictures, we thought hotel would be more so in the mountains versus Urban area. Is it a European hotel. So it has a small European size room.

Breakfast had a vast variety of food, the room was very clean and very comfortable, the staff was really kind and professional and the location was exactly where I needed to be, with easy access to different parts of the town and the motorway.

A lovely place to stop.

we have stayed here quite a few times and like it very much. There is a secure park for the car. The staff are friendly and helpful. They suggested a trip by bus up the mountain to lovely villages connected by a railway. We were given vouchers for the bus and train and told where to catch the relevant bus which was very close to the hotel. Sadly the restaurant wasn’t open on the night we stayed- we know how good it is!

Superb

The staff of the hotel is very kind and professional. During check-in we received even the card, that permits to have discounts for the visits of the museums and using the public transport. The room was huge with beautiful view on the mountanians. There is a bar, but unfortunately there was not a kettle in the room. Breakfast was good with a big choice of the desserts.

Far from the city center, during the evening not so comfortable to turn without the car (the last bus from the center departs before 9 pm)

the breakfast is wonderful, and the location is really good.

I couldn’t really set the room temperature to my desires. even with the heating off it was really hot inside (over 23 degrees Celsius). I opened the windows (it was around -5 outside) and it refreshed, but 15 minutes later was hot again. couldn’t sleep very well.

to be a 4 star hotel my room (106) was very simple and old forniture. not all bulbs in LED yet.. the room is very noisy. I could hear everything from other rooms behind.

The hotel is great looking, I didn't really get to see the garden but it looks fantastic as well for summer time. I was upgraded upon arrival which was a great bonus. The reception staff was exceptionally helpful throughout. I don't normally eat at hotels' own restaurants but made the exception one night and the food was really good. Great breakfast, nice enough gym, great location for hikes.

No complaints. It's 15-20 minute walk to train station / Bolzano city centre so not exactly close but at the same time the location is great for certain hikes.

Wonderful experience at Magdelener Hof.

Beautiful boutique hotel in great location few minutes away from the center of Bolzano. Surrounded by mountains and vineyards, an ideal spot to relax in the end of the day. The hotel offers a peacful terrace and swimming pool as well which we very much enjoyed of. Friendly staff and wonderful breakfast as well as dinner options at the hotel's restaurant.

Not too many options for vegan at breakfast/restaurant.
