Beds were clean and comfortable.
Great location, very tasteful decoration in the house.
Hot tub was great.
Hello, we’d like to leave some feedback after a great weekend staying at the house. Unfortunately some negative points, that can hopefully be avoided for future guests.
- no wood or coal for the wood burner in the living room and the bbq outside.
- The house was freezing when we arrived.
- Upon using the shower in the en suite discovered quickly that the drain was blocked in less than 5 minutes of usage. Which made dirt flow up from the drain into the tray. This shower could not be used again. When reporting the problem, we felt the response was not really appropriate when you said to go buy drainer cleaner when the drain was obviously blocked prior to our visit.
- Tried to use the shower over the bath, but no wall bracket to be able to shower standing up. Also dirt coming out the shower head. Temperature was either freezing or too hot. Not usable.
- Bottom shower also not usable due to extreme temperatures making it dangerous for burning.
- So to summarise, 7 guests could not shower over 4 days.
- Kitchen was dirty, all plates and cutlery had to be washed before used. Worktops were sticky and not clean.
- Bins over flowing outside.
- We picked this house because of the bbq hut and hot tub. We could not use the bbq hut due to it being incredibly dirty and not safe to cook on.
- The lock on the bbq hut door will not lock closed from outside.
-But the overall cleanliness in the rest of the house, especially the living room upholstered furniture was very poor.
- No batteries for the wii.
- No dish towels. This could have been noted and we could have taken our own.
- We feel the above issues can be easily addressed making the venue wonderful.

Perfect location, less than 10 mins walk into town and we were able to take the bus to Culloden Battlefield from a bus stop 5 mins walk away. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed the hot tub and BBQ hut.
There were several issues with the property during our stay, including (but not limited to): main toilet didn't flush, key safe didn't work, curtains were hanging off the rails in some rooms, stains on the soft furnishings, bin bags from previous guests left in garden, shower tray overflowing, BBQ not cleaned and some essentials missing (bin bags, washing up liquid, dish towels, clean sponge). Cleanliness was well below expectations. Also to note, no charcoal provided, which is tricky to source in January.
We still had a lovely time but it fell well short of its customer rating.
The owner was responsive during our stay but failed to remediate anything (the toilet was an issue as half the party was over 75) and failed to respond when I sent a list of the issues we encountered on departure.

It was just awesome. They did an excellent job renovating this place and everything looks brand new. It is a five minute walk from Inverness city center and Inverness castle. The house is super clean, bright, comfy and spacious. There is a round table room for games, a living room for tv and beers and an awesome bbq hut which works amazingly well. The jacuzzi (with a roof!) is a daily treat for everyone and with a shower just next to it inside the house the experience is 10/10.

Fantastic house, great for a big group having group meals and a place to relax. Plenty of bathrooms and loved the hot tub. Great after a marathon!
Limited or no lighting around the hot tub or in the bbq room so harder to use at night. There were lights there but none of them worked. Not sure if this is just us or they just weren't working!

Wasn’t enough seats for 8 people/shower didn’t drain correctly/not enough glasses.
In response to your comments on our review I would like to clarify a few points;
1. We only stayed 4 nights. Departing at 10.03 on 22 July, so not vacating the property late as you allege.
2. Our comments are not contradictory, your guest house is spacious & comfortable, but as a group of 8 adults we didn’t have enough comfortable seating to relax & watch tv. Sofa accommodated 3 & armchairs 4, 1 of us had to sit on a footstool. You state that we are the only guests to make this comment, if you look back you will find another review in August 2020 that makes same comment.
3. We made no reference to dining room, so not sure as to your reference.
4. Glasses – only 2 tumblers, not major issue thought that we would give you some constructive feedback.
5. Shower - If you feel comment is dubious then I suggest that you check it yourself. Thought you might want to be aware of issue.
6. Refute & take umbrage to being called “messy” guests which caused your housekeeping staff a lot more extra work. Kitchen was left with worktops wiped down, all crockery washed & put away. Fridge had been emptied. All rubbish placed in the relevant disposal bins. Towels left on the floor/bath in a heap making it easier for cleaners to collect. Bathrooms required proper cleaning, but nothing that filthy that it would have taken ages to clean which is what you have implied. Your hot tub maintenance staff commented how clean it had been left.
7. Our review should not be influenced by regular messages from you requesting markings to be adjusted. On reading other reviews anyone giving you a score below 9.5 receives an offensive response. Surely someone working in the hospitality industry should welcome & listen to customer feedback rather than going on defensive & responding in an aggressive nature.

Excellent property. Immaculately clean. Easy direct walking route to town centre and the river. Comfortable and warm, good wi-fi, spacious for a mixed group. All appliances are there plus welcoming gift of milk and biscuits. Good garden space. Hot tub and fire pit are a small extra cost but well worth it. When the Mòd is next in Inverness we will be back.
Nothing.

Plenty of space for 7 adults, we didn't use the hot tub or barbecue area as added after we booked and didn't feel the need to pay the additional optional extra, however the garden looked great.
Very easy to walk to inverness and lovely walks along the river and canal. Good takeaway and restaurant service close by.
Perfect house for our family get together in a beautiful part of Scotland.
House rather warm at night despite turning bedroom radiator down, not a major issue at all.

The house was really nicely decorated and each bedroom was a good size. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept well.
The location was ideal, a short walk to the city centre but far enough away from noise.
Everything we needed was in the house, including nice extra touches like milk, biscuits and ice.

Superb property. So comfortable and homely. The outside facilities were fantastic.
Only issue was the temperature control in the downstairs shower room. Either cold or too hot.

The property was exactly as advertised. Overall pleased with the stay.
Bed linen clean, property clean, nice garden, great location.
We arrived at the property at around 15:30 as instructed, after 12 hrs drive only to find that the place was really cold, especially as the temperature was about 5C outside. The first night was a bit cold for everybody, especially for the kids.
At the ground floor shower room, the shower head was broken. Also, the instant water heater was either scalding your body or freezing it up before managing to get it right.
Table cloth stained.
