Beautiful surroundings, close to the beach, nicely renovated traditional house.
Most staff, particularly at the restaurant, were really nice.
I wanted to love this place but just couldn't. Based on the numerous 5-star "fairytale" reviews, I had high expectations about our weekend to celebrate my birthday. Prior to arriving, I received a series of emails (I think 7 in total) and a phone call from the property with information to plan our stay and suggesting us to book specific services. On the one hand, this caused me stress (it felt like too much planning for a stay of less than 48 hours, and the emails also came during a time of high stress at work) but on the other hand, it raised my expectations and made me think that everything would be perfect once we arrived.
Yet... I left with mixed feelings. We spent over EUR 1300 for a two-night stay (approx 740 for the room and the rest for dinner, breakfast, Sunday brunch and other charges). I simply did not feel that this place was worth this amount of money. Yes, the house is nice, the restaurant offers a fine dining experience, the location is beautiful. But... the room was nice but noisy (you could hear the doors of neighboring rooms and steps on the floor above); the Easter brunch was the regular breakfast plus a few additional items, definitely overpriced at 50 EUR per person; the restaurant has a single menu of mainly fish and seafood. It was delicious once, but two days in a row (which we had to take due to the lack of options around and the in-house bistro being closed on our second night) was a bit too much. I also wonder how people who don't like/are allergic to fish or seafood/are vegetarian manage, as there were simply no other options. Btw - they had asked us about food preferences/intolerances over the phone prior to our arrival, but the information was not passed to staff as we got asked the same question at least twice.
I also felt disappointed that reception staff only acknowledged my comment about the excess of emails after I brought it up - they didn't reply to my email message nor offer an apology.

The property is beautiful and gorgeous, a real fairytale castle. The location is excellent, very private but close to charming Honfleur. We were lucky to sunbathe , swim in the pool in October and just chill around the swimming pool. The staff were very nice, polite and helpful
We had a standard room which, unfortunately, did not meet our expectations. It was just ok, without a certain character and not quite comfortable. There was no door to the bathroom. The wardrobe was open and located in the bathroom while the toilet was a tiny separate room located in the bedroom. It seemed more logical to exchange them. We did not notice that our room was cleaned and had to ask to empty litter bins in the evening.

Great place. Great view. The Garden is magnificent. Free parking. Nice Interior design. Great location.
I had a call before arriving to inform that the restaurant was closed two days (that was not clear at the moment of booking). I was not able to confirm but was also not informed that of the two other nights, one of the nights the restaurant was also closed for a mass BBQ. 75 Euro is way too much for one BBQ.
So, I was disappointed that there was no place in the restaurant, but there was no help from the staff.
When asking for an alternative, they directed me to a beach cabinet Le spot, which was far away from what we were looking for (and it was even closed).
You have to be early to conquer a seat at the swimming pool.
A lot of dogs present.
There was a lot of dust in the room, which has no air conditioning. On a hot night, it is almost impossible to sleep. The fans are somewhat of a relief, but they do not cool down the room.
Some of the staff are not very responsive to needs. But in general friendly people. Management is not flexible. They need to understand what customer experience is all about. It's not the great venue alone, it's also how they deal with customers.
