Hatzidakis Beach Retreat

Lage ist seht gut. Strand ist nur getrennt durch eine kleine Straße. Die Nachbarn haben meiste darauf geachtet das sie ihr Auto nicht vor unsere Terasse gestellt haben, damit wir den Ausblick genießen konnten. In kürzester Entfernung gibt es einen Bäcker, 2 größere Supermärkte und Mini Supermärkte.

In der Beschreibung steht das ein Grill vorhanden wäre. Das ist auch zutreffend, es steht da ein nagelneuer Gasgrill in der Wohnung. Leider aber gibt es aber keinen Gasschlauch und keine Gasflasche dazu.

C’est grand! Pas de touriste on est mélangé avec les locaux. On entend les vagues! Maison bien équipée. Mini Market à 1 minute à pied.

Die Lage ist wirklich traumhaft, direkt am Strand. Man kann das Auto direkt am Haus parken. Die Nachbarn sind unheimlich nett und versorgen Gäste tatsächlich mit Gemüse aus den umliegenden Gewächshäusern. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Es gibt zahlreiche Handtücher, Bettzeug, Küchenutensilien, Strandliegen etc.

Das Bad ist wirklich niedrig und die Dusche sehr klein.

We stayed there for a full week to have some relaxing and quiet days off. There is a great terrace where you can enjoy dinner while having a beautiful view of the sea. The same great view you will have when looking out of the kitchen and the main bedroom on the first floor. The house had really everything listed on booking.com and even much more. We had an extremely warm welcome and upon arrival there was already Tania waiting for us who introduced us with the house and gave us some recommendations for beaches and villages nearby. There even were some water bottles and very delicious fruits and sweets prepared. The communication with the host was excellent and always very(!) quick. Located directly at a small beach the house is separated only by one small street. There are a few cars passing, but not frequently. The village itself is very small, non-touristic and the area mainly consists of greenhouses. So basically a workers village I would say. That is the reason why there are primarily locals and seasonal workers living there -- you will probably not find many tourists. So make sure that you do not expect restaurants, many shops or a busy nightlife (this is not what we were aiming for). Within walking distance there is one (really good) coffee shop, a supermarket which you can reach within a few meters and a bakery. It is also a good starting point for many great beaches nearby. The closest larger city is Ierapetra which you can reach in a few minute's drive (as well as Myrtos which is very nice). Something which really impressed us was the friendliness of the host and the locals living next doors: we got fresh tomatoes almost everyday, some came over and gave us fresh flowers from their garden and others invited us to join them fishing on the beach. Many thanks especially to Fiona and Tania! We would recommend the place to others looking for some quiet days off at a non-touristic village at the beach away from the action!
