The best place in Lucerne for Young Travelers – Chilled and Friendly

I stayed two nights at Young Backpackers Homestay and totally loved it! I got helpful info and tips about visiting Lucerne even before I arrived. The view from the house and the common area is just great <3. The bed was also very comfortable. Thanks to the staff and other travelers, I had such a fun night out. You’ll want to stay longer or come back. :)) Merci/Dziękuję/Gracias/Cheers !!!

Nice stay with beautiful views

The property is exactly as described with many facilities and stunning views. All is so well organised to make you feel comfortable. It was easy to communicate with Ray. Clear information about stay rules. Roommates very friendly and respectful. There is parking available upon request. I definitely would recommend it and stay again in my next visit to Luzern

For one night it is ok, just loved the sit out and living room space.

Living room view is the best and so relaxing. Can use hammock in the balcony. Lot of things like games and bean bags… not too far from city centre and transportation facility is good. House rules first seemed scary but it suited my travel because I expected a quiet night after a long day. Public transportation ticket has been offered and much helpful and stress free.

The double room is too small for two people for the money, bed size wasn’t as expected. No cupboard, cannot carry too many luggages. House felt bit crowded. Toilet was occupied most of the time. No toiletries were offered like shower gel or so.

The staff is really nice and everything is comfortable. The bed was great and the facilities are more than enough. VIEW IS AMAZING. Free & unlimited towels, prepared food(as long as you pay), easy check in/out, cool jacuzzi. If you are responsible and nice, this will make your switzerland dream place. A bit far from the town but it’s your choice to get the view, quiet neighbor and cool dudes.

Great place very close to Lucern train station

The location is fantastic! The hosts are very friendly and they provide all the necessary information in advanced. The room was clean and ready.

Just the sound of other guests closing and opening doors (hard and noisy) during the whole night and early morning. Still, it was a minor thing compared to what the location and the guests offer.

Through the large window in the living room, i could overlook the extremely beautiful scenery of luzern, surrounded by mountains, which made me feel amazed when i woke up in the morning. Both the kitchen and entertainment facilities were perfect, and supplies were clean and tidy. The owner introduced the house patiently and meticulously, even though it was late at night.

Although it is written on the door of the sleeping room to keep quiet, it was actually difficult to achieve, because everyone could hear any movement in the room, such as opening thw door, zipping backpacks, packing luaggage, etc., and almost everyone would be disturbed their sleep.

Alojamiento muuuuy bueno!

Rai is an awesome host. He has created a place where you can feel as at home. I enjoyed a lot my days there. The house is situated in a climb from where you can see all Lucern valley and you can wake up just in front of you Pilatus montain. I was in the 8 bed shared room and the room is so big.

From my POV, paying almost 100€/night in a 8 beds shared room, it could include the breaksfast on the price. Also he give to you the opportunity to take a breakfast just from 2.5€ (Suuuuuuuuuuuuper cheap for being in Switzerland)

An incredible location with an incredible and unique concept. We both LOVED the place - it felt like coming home to a big family, everybody is caring about not disturbing the others and the hosts took care about making you feel comfortable and like at home at friends. Waking up to that view and having your breakfast while the sun is coming up over the mountains gave us so much energy which got even better when they switched on the whirlpool for us to enjoy a few hours in the pool to watch the sun going down. Unfortunately we didn't feel to well to go partying with the two and the other guests but that's reason enough to return to this incredible place with these lovely people. We would definitely come back.
