I would stay again, house was perfect for our family of 7, plenty for the children to do

Quiet and cosy, everything we needed. Felt close to nature with the balcony stream and field opposite

The balcony felt like you were in the trees. It’s out of season so the site was quiet, lovely to see the cows in the field opposite in the morning. Great that there was a pub on the site. Cosy house with living area upstairs which was a nice change. Very comfortable and we have looked at booking again in the summer as my parents live in Tavistock.

Had issues with hot water, on first day, 3 of us wanted a shower/bath but there wasn’t enough hot water.

One of the nicest sites we have visited and the owners went that extra mile to make us feel at home.

Milk and as bottle of wine left in the fridge for our arrival. Tea, coffee, sugar, etc. left at the property. Super clean, roomy, great location, both indoor and outdoor and central for visiting Cornwall - Excellent.

The cleanliness could be improved — some areas were not very well cleaned, and there were some dirty dishes stored away

Great stay, nice lodge with everything we needed.

Loved the balcony and the bedrooms were very nicely decorated. The pictures were great! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, dishwasher washing machine, fridge freezer kettle etc.

The living room area was okay, not a big fan of these leather sofas. It could have been cosier but was fine. There could have been a couple more cups and plates if you’re using for breakfast lunch and dinner. We did have a little trouble finding it as the it says Springer lodge and not Valley lodge!!

Arrived late and left early after two night stay but can see the potential as a place to unwind

Location tranquil enough to serve as a retreat, with the option to bring your dog Well equipped by thoughtful owners, including both necessities and treats

Didn’t stay long enough to appreciate how things work but would like the ability to briefly turn on the heating in the evening.

So peaceful , clean and feels like a home. Everything was available which we needed. Complementary wine and the sweets were unexpected (in a good way).

A really good family location and dog friendly too.

We were very pleased with the overall accommodation and facilities. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we could have wanted - and more! Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom facilities were also very good. Loved the powerful shower. We really appreciated being able to take our dogs along on our family break.

Really just a little niggle, could have done with some hooks in the bedroom for dressing gowns etc. We were disappointed that tennis courts were not open in the Winter but the gym and the swimming pool were available and we made full use of them instead.

Lovely little holiday home

Lovely park and very well presented. Good facilities (eg white goods, smart tv, plenty of room)…. Site was good with good facilities for kids and well based to travel around Cornwall. Welcome pack of wine, biscuits, milk, dishwasher tablets and sweets was a lovely touch.

Shower glass door on bath doesn’t quite fit - so water runs underneath it and ends up with a very wet bathroom floor. Only other issue is we would run out of hot water every morning with 6 people wanting/needing a shower and we couldn’t work out how to get a hot water boost, only heating boost. Would have been nice to have some more cleaning products so we could clean up as well, ended up buying our own kitchen spray and bin liners etc.

A larger duvet on the double beds and an anti slip mat in the bath would have been an improvement. Also, a note to say where the shower switch is would have saved a bit of time!
