The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay , the location for exploring the area was brilliant and the view from the living room was spectacular . The onsite pub had delicious food and were very friendly

Just got back from a brilliant week away. The woodland setting is gorgeous and properly peaceful, which made it so easy to unwind. The lodge itself was spotless, warm, and had a really well-kitted kitchen, so self-catering was dead easy. A quick shout-out on the pool debate: having read a few grumbles online before arriving, I really don't get what people are moaning about! The setup they offer off-site blows the current on-site pools out of the water (see what I did there?). It’s only a quick hop down the road to proper facilities, and our lot enjoyed it infinitely more. Tavistock is lovely to wander around too. Seamless check-in, clear instructions, and an all-round top-tier stay. Already looking at dates to come back.

We were meeting friends who were staying on site in a very nice 2 story lodge, but with my walking issues it was great to have a bungalow with no stairs. Accommodation was lovely and comfortable and well equipped. We spent the day in Tavistock before arriving, and the site location was convenient for us going back to a "do" there that evening. There is a pub and a little shop on site for basics. My friends want a longer stay next time to do some sightseeing in the area, because it is a good spot for day trips to Plymouth, Tavistock, Looe etc..

Few steps up to the front door but they were manageable. Bit hilly in places on site.

Nice views but very dated lodge.

Needs a bit of upkeep , weeding and paint decking. Took clock off wall to replace batteries and there was horrendous mould of some sort behind the clock. Also went to use swimming pool and was told we weren't allowed. We were told the owners wished (very strange) us to use a pool which was miles away in Tavern stock. Had we had children with us it would have been extremely disappointing! It needs to be stated that you can't use outdoor pool or indoor pool! No instructions that there were two immersions switches to be able to have hot water. One downstairs and one upstairs . Which caused us to be late for the party we were attending.
