It is a good size property for 3 adults and 3 children. Two bathrooms were handy. Play area for children and use of pool facilities
The facilities are adequate but feel the whole property in need of uplifting and modernisation such as quality of towels, bedding, curtains falling down, loose floor tiles in bathroom and poor DIY. The whole place badly in need of decorating. Nice decking area but couldn’t use the outdoor table as rotten through. The property felt more like a student let than a holiday home.

I really enjoyed our stay at Honicombe Holiday Village & Leisure Centre (17 Dartmoor Lodge). The location was beautiful, very peaceful in the woods and calm. The staff were friendly and helpful. Since we visited in September during non-peak days, the pool was not crowded, and we had a great time there. The house was clean when we arrived, and we were pleasantly surprised to find some snacks waiting for us. There were also books, DVDs, and board games, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The radiators didn’t work at all. We informed the host, who tried contacting the property manager, and although they visited the house, nothing changed. The daytime weather was fine, but in the mornings it was very cold, which was uncomfortable, especially since we had a 63-year-old woman and two kids with us. The microwave and air fryer were not properly cleaned, and the vacuum cleaner wasn’t working, so we couldn’t tidy the house ourselves. The key access system was also a bit difficult to use.
