We stayed for a short 2 nights and I would have loved to stay longer. The cottage is really well equipped and cosy. We didn't really need the heating on much while we were there but it was effective when it came on. The bathroom is downstairs but a very good size with a good shower. The living room is cosy with a great TV and wood burner. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were a good size and beds comfortable. Everything was really clean and fresh and thoughtfully done. We loved the outside space, sitting under the sheltered area listening to the birds. It would be so good on a summer's evening to sit out. The road does go down the front and while there is some traffic during the day I didn't notice it at night at all. There was such less traffic then. Location is excellent for exploring further afield in the area but also you can quite literally walk out the back gate and up the hill to the RSPB reserve, arriving there in about 10-15 mins. It's a beautiful location! Great places nearby to eat. We went to a local pub and an Italian in Coleford, both were good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends and I hope to go back at some point!
