Beautiful place, lots of room, everything you need is there. Jules and Patrick are great hosts.

Peaceful and pretty.

Heating on timer and 1st night very cold. Second night we got logs and got the log burner going, also out heating on advance so took chill out. We maybe used the central heating incorrectly!

Cozy barn stay

Excellent communication from Jules. Arrived in the dark to a cozy, well lit barn, decorated for Christmas :) Despite rubbish weather, the views were beautiful. Our dog enjoyed the garden and our children enjoyed meeting the horses. Kitchen well equipped and everything we needed throughout the barn. Location peaceful but near amenities in Chepstow and Lydney. Will visit again!

Stunning location, dog friendly, clean, well looked after, comfortable beds and spacious rooms

The only draw back was the gaps in the fencing where the horses were. The dogs had to be on lead just in case otherwise they would’ve been able to get through

Amazing views. Very well equipped property.

Wide ranging countryside views from every window. Light, comfortable, and very clean. Well equipped kitchen and cozy beds. Would happily visit again.

Lovely outside space with chairs and a table facing the amazing view. Sadly, the post and rail fencing between the property and the horse field isn't secure if you have a dog smaller than a Newfoundland, but there is a very safe footpath that runs alongside the property if you want an off lead walk.

Lovely Summer Break

Idyllic, private setting with stunning views across to the river Severn bridge, which cannot be fully appreciated from the photos - when we arrived on the driveway it really was a wow moment - which we later enjoyed with coffee in the mornings, saying hello to the horses (and feeding them the occasional carrot), and wine in the evenings watching the bats, and so many stars. The barn was well decorated, clean and comfortable. Plenty of scenic places to visit nearby - Forest of Dean, caves, childrens railway, pubs, Chepstow. We had a great little break here to finish off the school holidays. Thanks for having us!

The outside area is great and the horses are an extra bonus! The window panoramic window is the bedroom is great for sunset views. A property that just has everything for a good stay.

Private oasis with stunning views

Beautiful, peaceful and amazing views. Patrick welcomed us upon arrival and made us feel at home. The barn is well equipped and in a great location for stunning walks and easy drive to local amenities. The horses were an added bonus!

Prefect for a quiet New Years Eve

Lovely well presented barn, well stocked with everything you need. Very quiet, with beautiful views. Plenty of space and very comfortable beds. Horses in the adjoining field are very friendly and like to have a fuss over the fence. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Lots of beautiful walks a short drive away, as well dog friendly pubs.

Fencing has quite large gaps (no wire on the wooden fence). If your dog is a keen explorer this could be an issue. We kept our dog on the lead whilst outside, in the summer this would have been more of an issue but as we stayed during a winter storm time outside was limited so not too much of an issue. The horses in the adjoining field do Locke right up to the garden fence so if you have a reactive dog this should be taken into consideration

The location was amazing, close to attractions in the local area. the property was finished o a very good standard with all the facilities you could ever require. the property was very clean and maintained. the hosts were very friendly and gave many good points about the area.

Wonderful setting with lovely hosts, but property in need of updating

Beautiful unique setting with wonderful views and very private set-up/location. Hosts very kind and welcomed us on arrival. Also responded when lost and unable to find place, as well as when had issues with leaking tap.

We really felt that the property needs a lot of updating internally. Lots of damaged or unfinished paintwork, broken taps and kitchen units need updating/replacing etc. Also lots of noises from the loft void above our head when trying to sleep at night (? Mice). As owners of a very old property in the countryside, we understand this is part of the parcel of rural living, but the owners may want to address this going forward as it did disrupt sleep quite a bit.

Ideal for a relaxing getaway!

The hosts greeted us and were friendly, kind and considerate. The property was ideally located for our visit to Chepstow and Bath. Kept in good condition, well and tastefully furnished with good temperature control in the whole house. The water pressure was great. All the facilities one may require have been considered. It was peaceful with horses and sheep grazing nearby. We felt safe, being close to the owners and in close proximity to the other farm properties as well. The scenery was beautiful with views over the fields all the way to the Severn river and bridge in the distance.

Great stay

The host Patrick greeted us on arrival and was absolutely lovely, really friendly and let us know that they were both available should we need anything. We were also then left alone to do our thing which we always appreciate. The house was wonderful and spacious and everything you could have needed was there. Everywhere you could want to visit is only a short drive and the views were just amazing, particularly loved waking up to the horses outside!

Minor things, could do with better signage from the road that you're in the right place, we drove past initially. Bed was very soft but that's personal preference!

Almost perfect.

Location was amazing.So envious of the accomodation.

If I stayed more than one night would have mentioned the shower being too hot . Couldn't adjust the temperature and would not have been able to place anywhere near my shoulders or face.
