Great Location with a Truly Caring Host

The location of Otium Maecenatis Apartments is excellent. We arrived at Roma Termini station, and the apartment was less than a 10-minute walk away. It’s also equally close to the Colosseum, which made sightseeing really convenient. The host, Valerio, was outstanding. She messaged me on WhatsApp a day before arrival and made all the arrangements accordingly. Our train arrived 15 minutes early, and when we informed her about our early arrival, she ensured she was there to hand over the keys and explain everything about the apartment. Since it was before the check-in time, we were able to leave our luggage and go for lunch, which was very helpful. Valerio took the time to explain how the air conditioning, keys, and other essentials worked. Her communication and attentiveness really made the stay smooth.

Although the apartment was advertised as suitable for four adults, it felt a bit small for that number. The kitchen was very compact, though well equipped. Sleeping arrangements included one double bed and two folding beds, which may not be ideal for all groups.

Great location, decent flat

Location was very good, we did many things on foot. Very close to Colosseum and train station. Old beautiful building. View from the balcony was amazing.

The beds were a little bit tight and makes creaking sound. Bathroom is small for a family of four.

Bellissima Roma!

The property was located within walking distance to the colosseum, and the A train took us to the Trevi, Vatican and more. It was a perfect location!

The apartment had a great kitchen and just enough beds for our family of 5. We were very comfortable and the owners were super attentive and helpful.

Great location, 3 bedroom is the sitting room with a pull out sofa. Air conditioning worked great even when it was 97° outside!

Host recommended we do not use the elevator since it is old and dangerous. It’s was more than a few stairs to our apartment. But we managed.

Great location, Lovely hosts

Maria Meet us at the door and ran through all we needed to know during the stay. She also gave us a map covering the area and marked for us things like the supermarket, dinner options etc which was extremely helpful. Everything was easy and smooth. The apartment was very clean and basic supplies were on offer. Communication was very easy and anything we asked was replied to promptly. The location is perfect, we loved that we were a five minute walk through a lovely and peaceful park to the colosseum. We could walk to most places from here. The neighborhood was enjoyable, the locals lovely, and we felt very safe dinner options were spot on. We even got to watch the police horses in the morning from the window!

We are a family of four, kids aged 16 and 12, this was too small a space for us. When you have been out exploring for the day you want to be able to come back and relax but the couch is made into a bed for the stay and you can only sit at the table, not ideal. I stress that this is not a fault of the apartment but mine, the bigger one was not available and I took a risk on this one, for a family of four I wouldn't do it again but if it was just two of us no problems. The kitchen supplies for cooking could use some tongs, another slightly bigger pot and a bigger chopping board. The shower has great pressure but the head is a little blocked so not all the jets work. The elevator was not advised to use, but we were on the first floor so it was no trouble to us.

Close proximity to the Colosseum and other attractions. Close to the metro. Very quiet area. Friendly host who is helpful and easy to communicate. Spacious apartments with all you need to self catering your group.

Main bed is ok and comfortable but beds for kinds not apporopriate for teenagers, too small and uncomfortale. Design and equipment rather old fashioned. We don’t watch TV but the one in the apartment is kind of antique ;-) also very poor WiFi, we were not ale to use it.

Great weekend stay

It was a very pleasant stay: Paola organised the transfer from the airport upon our arrival. Her daughter Maria was welcoming us at the apartment showing around, as well as giving recommendations for sightseeing and eateries. The location of the apartment was even better as expected - beautiful 5 min walk through the park leads direct to Coloseum; other sightseeing objects within 10 min walk. Also Metro station Vittorio Emanuele same short walking distance. The bathroom and kitchen niche were new and had all the necessary for our stay. Would definitely stay again.

The operators were excellent. They offered suggestions about getting around before we even arrived. Very helpful. The location was excellent. Great access to stores, restaurants, transit and of course the colosseum! The air conditioning was so needed and appreciated as it is for many these days in Europe.

Clean & quiet appartment

The apartment was quiet, clean and big enough for 3 people. The water for shower was hot all the time. The metro is 8 min walking.

The host was not very friendly. The check out was at 10:00 a.m and we couldn't leave the luggage at the apartment for few hours. The location is not so close to the main areas (30 min walking to trevi fauntain).

We are a family of 4 and the one bedroom apartment was excellent for us. The location was amazing and had everything close (restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, cafes, metro stop) Also in a good location to explore all of Rome and we did lots of walking from the apartment. The street outside is lovely and the views from the balcony were nice. Quiet at night. It was very hot in Rome during our stay and the air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. Paola was lovely and also looked after a small issue we had very quickly. Highly recommend.
