Elegant Apartment Behind the Colosseum

We loved the location. It was a short walking distance from the Colesseum ,Paletine Hill ,and Vittoriano museum and monument .

We had a bad start. We arrived late at night after a 30 hours flying and the owners were working remotely. They told us to bring cash for city tax which we did and then wouldn’t let us in the building until they had a copy of our passports and a screen shot of the city tax payment to them . They required us to contact them by what’s app which I didn’t have and so two females out on the street in the dark trying to do this with data roaming just starting and intermittent connection was stressful. We had already paid for our accommodation months in advance so it wasn’t like we hadn’t already paid a lot. Our sofa bed wasn’t made up. Apparently you need to ask and keys for old looks were difficult to use at times.

The apartment was small but comfortable. It's an old building so it was quite dark, especially in the terrace, but it wasn't an issue. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too hard. The shower was small but we had enough hot water. A little shelf to put shampoo and shower gel in the shower would be useful
