The location is beautiful; you are directly on the beachfront, and the sea is crystal clear and very safe, with lifeguards posted along the seafront. The local food is beautiful. A very strong recommendation for Maria's Taverna. The shared fried seafood dish is to die for!
If you have no car, you will be vulnerable to the most expensive taxi rides. Even for the nearest tourist visit from Glyfada to Pelekas, just 2 km away, it costs a minimum of 40 Euros. There is no bus and no complimentary shuttle as advertised. You are stranded unless you hire a car.
We got absolutely fleeced on taxi costs.
