A very nice Hotel 10/10

The staff were all very service orientated, the room was clean and smelled nice. With a small kitchen as well. They offer new towels and new coffee everyday. But you can also tell them that you don't need new towels. I made a mistake through booking.com were I without wanting to cancelled a non-refundable room, I ordered the same room again, and they helped me getting the payment back from booking.com. Thank you!

Not happy

In the photos the apartment looks spacious, it’s not big enough for 2 people, didn’t see any staff apparently they don’t work on Sundays ! We arrived and left 30 minutes later to get another hotel

Weekend stay at residence

The room was nice. Clean. Small and efficient kitchenette.

The reception was closed because of the holidays. They were supposed to print a parking permit with is a must in zurich. We had a very hard time getting one.

Spotlessly clean and well located five minute walk from the train station. Train ride was 8 minutes into the main train station. Bed linen was good quality. Use of sauna and small fitness room.

Bathroom was an older style, but the showier had great water pressure.

Reasonable property at a competitive price

The location for us was great as close to our son’s home and transport is very easy around Zurich. The space was good with a small kitchenette although all quite basic but we did expect this. Very reasonably priced for Zurich also. Perfectly adequate for our needs as we were out most of the time so just needed somewhere to sleep and shower.

Shower had a partial screen and then a curtain. This could be improved.

Great overall

Super friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed and room including a mini kitchen. Good for light sleepers - very quiet room. Proper curtains to block out sunlight (open able for sun and air though) Sauna available as well as laundry machine and dryer (free).

If I have to nitpick - Shower made a bit of a weird noise but no biggie. Bathroom door is sort of a sliding door that doesn't really close but rather just slides over the opening loosely. Have to use some stairs to get to the lift.

It was easy to collect the keys from reception and the owner answered out questions. The room was adequate, a bit small but we had everything we needed. Quiet location

It's a my issue - but the power points I could use my adaptor as the PowerPoints are a funny shape and my charging blocks are round. Issue charging devices. Otherwise couldn't fault this gorgeous place

Ok value for money

The location is exceptional, maybe 15 min by public transport from the Central Train station in a quiet and beautiful residential area. The tram stop is a bit far away up the hill so if you have a lot of luggage I would take a bus. There is also a train station close by but there is no elevator from the platform, just steep stairs. Again, with the luggage or mobility issues - not great. The receptionist was super nice and friendly. ❤️ The mini-apartment had an AC and comfortable mattress. We had a good sleep and even cooked some simple dinner in the kitchen.

The furniture, kitchenette and bathroom are a bit tired. But everything was working and it was clean.

Infected with cockroaches! Do not book!

Everything was acceptable until next morning I saw big cockroache on the floor next to my bed.

Everything was acceptable until next morning I saw big cockroache on the floor next to my bed. That whole place is infected with roaches. Do not book that place! I was booked it for 2 nights. They agreed to refund on one night as we moved out, but they are not going to pay for the forst night which is unacceptable, if I knew there would be cockroaches I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOOKED THAT PLACE! Now I have spent 200 eur per night with parasites. I have added evidence photo. Cockroaches can climb into your luggage, they are infected with diseases! And they place has 8/10 rating??? It should be closed until they fix this problem.

Peaceful, comfortable stay at Residence Mutschellen

The self check in was quick and easy and accommodating to our late arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the room came with a beautiful view though I appreciate we may have been lucky. The room came with a kitchenette which was a lovely bonus and meant we could make sandwiches, food, and had a fridge to store them. Overall it was a quiet, clean, pretty hotel and served as a good base for our Zurich travels. Thanks :)

Residence Mutschellen provides comfortable apartments in a great location in the suburbs of Zurich.

My apartment was very comfortable with a small but well-equipped kitchen. I had everything I needed to self-cater with supermarkets easily walkable in a nearby shopping centre. The location was ideal. It was a lovely quiet residential area with the nearest station of Zurich Brunau less than ten minutes away. It was then just an 8 minute trip into Zurich HB where you could then catch a train to any part of Switzerland.

We arrived early on a public holiday so reception was closed however on calling the accommodation, they provided quick and helpful instructions on gaining access, prior to our check in time. The accommodation has a lovely communal garden area which we didn't get time to take advantage unfortunately. Location is in a residential area but easily accessible to public transport or walking to the lake.

Okay if you have no choice.

The linen was ok and I wasn't expecting too much so I wasn't too disappointed. We just needed a place for one night after arriving late in Zurich and it would do. It was quiet.

Over an hour to find parking. This may not be the fault of the property but a general Zurich issue. The 2 beds were different heights. It was old and run down.

Possibly the best place I have stayed in Switzerland. Incredibly clean rooms, excellent facilities, perfect location (bus stop across the road), but most of all the warmest friendliest staff. I felt like I was at home.

The property was comfortable and well located just out of town but with good links to public transport

The property is a little tired for the cost, but it Switzerland after all….. The cleaner needs to pay more attention to moving furniture to clean as our room had more dust balls than was reasonable and small items of rubbish. Not having someone on the reception over a weekend is poor and also not having beds made or bathroom cleaned was poor

Okay stay but misleading photos

The residential area surrounding the hotel is quiet and pleasant, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. The air conditioner in our room worked efficiently, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, the lady at check-in was friendly and welcoming.

We booked our stay at this hotel based on the online photos, which presented a much more modern and appealing ambiance than what we encountered upon arrival. Unfortunately, our room appeared rundown and outdated. Additionally, the electrical outlets near the bed were covered with tape, making it impossible to charge our devices while lying down. Another disappointment was the bed arrangement. We expected a single double bed, as the photos suggested, but were given two single beds instead. Although we later noticed this detail in the fine print of our confirmation letter, the misleading photos caused confusion. It’s worth noting that we weren't the only guests facing these issues upon check-in, indicating a broader problem. I strongly recommend that future guests carefully verify their bookings and suggest the hotel update its promotional materials to more accurately reflect the current state of the rooms.

The A/C worked perfectly. The shower was hot right away and had a pleasant water pressure. It was nice to have Nespresso in the room.

The receptionist went out of his way to help us find our way around, he printed us 2 maps from google maps and came outside with us to show us the direction we needed to go in. The staff is FANTASTIC. Check in was very quick and check out is just drop off the key in the drop off box.

The location was good, bed comfy and the clean. It was just the bathroom that let it down.

The bathroom. The shower was an over the bathtub and it was very difficult to getting into and out off as the bathtub was very high. They was such little room the the bathtub that the shower curtain clings to your body when you are showering. We would suggest walk in showers as you can’t really have a bath anyway as the baths are so small.
