Málaga Centro Hostel

It was warm, welcoming and cosy type of place and I just needed to stay one extra night unexpected. So this was perfect.

There was one Spanish guy in the room who was polite when I arrived in but after lights out, he kept the window wide open and I woke up within the first hour with 6-7 mosquito bites on my shoulders, face and neck within the first hour. Then in the early hours of the morning around 3 am the same guy gets out of his bunk to shake my bunk and jumped back into his bunk again. Then a while later, he is walking around the room muttering so I thought maybe he’s sleep walking. Then he got up and laid down in the empty bunk beneath me and twice he kicked my mattress. When he went to get up, I sat up to confront him and he stayed in the bunk. A few mins later he got up and went back to his own bunk. I asked what was going on and he muttered at me and said I was snoring. I told him that he was snoring too, he said I was lying. He had been snoring but I’ve lived with men who snore, you learn how to deal with it it otherwise you would never get any sleep. A guy in the bunk on the other side of the room was snoring but he didn’t go over and shake his bed and kick his mattress.. This was the first and most likely last time I stay in a hostel in Spain.

Great location. The kitchen was a bonus.

The hostal itself was quiet but the area noisy in the evenings until quite late.

Lovely property, clean and well presented. Great location. Staff are fantastic and we loved the double room with the en suite. Very cosy
