checkin
heat was set to 35 celcius and no way to turn it down. Windows open and a loud bar next door. no way too sleep

The reception staff is really kind and helpful. They gave me a map and showed me all the key spots around and also helped me with other queries I had. They were also happy to give me an extra bedsheet to use as a makeshift curtains since the beds do not have curtains on them.
Firstly, the wifi is so slow that it is almost non-existent. You can barely load browser pages and in the room, social media is really hard to load. My room was right next to the street so it could get noisy. Also, my room had a weird stench that made it abit uncomfortable to stay in. Overall I would not recommend longer stays.

perfect for short stay or commute
toilets in the room weren't great, the sink is within the room itself and at night fi anyone uses it, it wakes up the whole room

The hostel was in a good location. The staff were helpful.

Very good location close to the stations and the city centre, big bathroom, a lot of space for the luggage under the beds.
No curtains above the beds, bathroom could be cleaned more often, staff did not mention there is breakfast. And some filthy thief stole my socks.

The location was really central and right next to the renfre train line so easy to get to the airport or go to other areas of Malaga. Lovely staff, more than kind and helpful!

Location
Room was freezing cold at night (yes, even in hot August), no blanket, just sheet.
No lockers (go and buy yourself), no curtain for bed

Very comfortable beds and clean

Staff does their best
Overhead light and one charging port at every bed
Underbed luggage drawers
Sink separated from the washrooms
Facilities exemplify the stereotype of Spanish engineering, such as the shower door being larger than the space between itself and the outer door. En suite toilets have no ventilation, and the vents in the kitchen is almost decorative. Also the kitchenware felt scavenged.
No shades on the roof top terrace and the stools were metallic

Excelent location for backpackers - close to the train station/bus station/port, nice bathrooms.
The rooms were very small, lacking privacy - some bed curtains would be a great addition. Our room had no windows, it felt like sleeping in a wardrobe. The kitchen was also very small and fridges were fully packed.

The location is perfect, very close to the center. The bed was okay
Unfortunately, it was impossible to close the window blinds, so I had to sleep with the sun on my face

The location was great, so close to everything!
Where to begin… The room didn’t have curtains nor blinds making it very light when trying to sleep. Additionally the shared bathroom had an automatic light which went on every time someone opened the door, meaning it was impossible to use the bathroom discreetly and you got disturbed during night every time someone did. The door was also not tight to the threshold, but rather a few centimetre (a decimetre?) up, resulting in that you hear everything people do in there. In my room one girl snored so loudly I barely slept at all and there was no help to get to resolve the matter. The lights by the beds did not work. The room was very hot with the AC set quite high which made sleep even more impossible.
Worst of all though was the incredibly toxic smell in all common areas, especially the elevator. Got a headache every time I passed through and it felt like breathing in poison. So disturbing.
Lastly, I accidentally left a fancy and expensive food container in the fridge (one of those eco ones that biodegrade in a month if you leave them outside), which I wrote staff about less than 24 hours after checking out and asked if they could keep it for me. They replied asking when I could come and I asked if in a few weeks was okay. They then ghosted me for some time until finally replying that they had thrown it out. Made me quite sad because honestly it was a tiny box and not hard to keep, seeing I wrote and begged for it.
Also, you didn’t get access to the kitchen area until 7 which was way later than I had expected and totally disrupted my schedule. I said I would do anything noisy, just cut up some fruit, but it was a no.
So to sum up: didn’t sleep more than two hours tops due to light, noise and temperature. Got delayed because of the kitchen time and left with a headache because of the horribly unnatural cleaning products. And lost my food container (which I likely wouldn’t have forgotten, had it not been that I was sleep deprived and with a headache).

I liked the location, which is not worth the bad experience
I made a reservation from the 15th to the 23rd. On the 21st, Friday, they told me to Check-out and only come back at 3pm to do a new Check-in to change rooms because the bed in the room, which I booked in advance, had been rented to someone else. They also said I would have to Check Out again on Saturday for the same reason. This is absurd and disrespectful. Under these conditions, I had to look for another place at the last minute, which generated an unexpected cost. I will never go back there again.

The ac was broken, they didn’t do anything to help us. Not a social hostel, and the showers were disgusting (mouldy)

The best location ever. Two minutes walk from train station, 5 mins walk from bus station. Short walk from city centre and 5 mins walk from beach.
Good basic accomodation. Breakfast very affordable at only 3 euro. Felt safe and uncomplicated. Staff extremely helpful. Will now be our Malaga stopover, everytime, for sure.
The room felt rather spartan, but was clean. There was only one thin blanket on each bed and was very cold, three beds in room yet no duvets, only one blanket per bed.

Friendly, helpful check-in staff
Mold and strong small in the bathroom. No hot water in the shower. French windows didn't close and had a chair propped against them to stop them from swinging open. Meant the room was very cold with a lot of street noise.

The location was perfect! And the staff was really friendly.
Due to the single glass windows it was really cold during the nights we stayed. Some heating would have been nice.
The water in the showers was ice cold. It didn't heat up.

This hostel is great for meeting new friends from around the globe, especially in the kitchen where it is the social hub. The rooftop terrace, though small, was also great for some sun without the hustle and bustle on the streets. Everyone just gets on with their thing and when cooking, most of the time, the food was there to share. Located off the main street, it was only a few minutes walk to the beach and also lots of nightlife, clubs and bars.

Nothing
The worst place I have ever stayed. I booked a "deluxe" room. Very dirty room, disgusting shower room. No towels in the room was told later I had to ask at reception for them. There are far superior and cheaper hostals in Malaga.

Location was good
Organisation at booking in was shambolic.
