We had difficulty sleeping in the unit due to the street noise. Sirens and loud, racing cars and motorbikes were very loud in the unit at night when we tried to sleep. The unit was also difficult to cool. Located in a very walkable location however we did not feel safe walking after dark due to a large number of street people doing drugs and asking for money in the area. The unit was well outfitted with beach gear and we appreciated the amenities of the unit. The unit appears quite dated and had stains on the carpeting and a broken closet door leaning against the main hall closet. The management company was excellent and responded quickly to all queries.

Beautiful stay. The condo was a great size and roomy. Cabinets in the kitchen are high , yet stool is provided The upstairs room gets warm , and the window upstairs has no covering, so early morning light. The upstairs is semi private and really comfortable The master had a nice king bed , yet mattress covers are needed. Many towel provided, beach gear, chairs etc etc, which was awesome Everything provided in the kitchen , appliances including washer and dryer were excellent 10 min wal to Allii drive, down hill 20 min walk up hill to safeway/ walmart. It is on the third floor , no problem unless heavy loads of luggage Parking spot is provided we decided to rent a car the full two weeks , everything is up hill in Kona i must say this was the cleanest rental we have had , hats off to the cleaning staff! Essentials were provided i.e tp / paper towel etc Pool was nice Would definitely stay here again

Overall we had a nice stay in Kona. The property had a few helpful extras such as snorkels and flippers and beach towels and chairs to use. The kitchen was adequately equipped too. Our teens opted to have one sleep on the couch with the other in the double bed upstairs. Short walk to the beach & shops. Lovely coffee shop just up the hill before the highway. Thanks for having us!

Taking into account the price, location, and amenities offered, this is a great place to stay in Kona. It's two blocks away from the waterfront so you are close to everything. The living area and upstairs can get a little warm in the afternoon with the sun shining right through the upper windows, even with the ceiling fans and AC operating. My only disappointment was that we were asked to do some cleaning in the condo before checking out (washing towels, doing dishes, etc.). There was no mention of this in the listing and nothing in the rental agreement. While it's not a huge deal, I paid a cleaning fee upfront at the time of booking so I assumed all the cleaning would be taken care of by the cleaning service.

I enjoyed the property. Just 1 piece of advice as a HVAC professional. The window air conditioners would work much more efficiently if they were placed in the Top portion of the window as colder air is heavier than warm air so it drops to the floor right away. That is why it is so hard to cool the loft bedtoom.

The condo was nice. The wood floors were dirty. They looked clean. But they made my feet so black. The homeless around the streets near the condo was awful. There were nights where they kept you up from screaming. Plus the traffic was so loud even with the windows closed. It didn't quite down on the weekends until after midnight. The skillets were not in good shape. But we made them work. If you want sauces bring your own. Nothing to work with for meals. A little oil and salt and pepper. I liked the condo. It would be nice if it were in a better location. It was a quick walk to town. Just go across the street down the stairs.

We were very impressed with the condo - it had all we needed and more. Lots of space to spread out. We got the upstairs cool by starting the fans/air-con as early as we could so it had a chance to cool before sleeping. Great amenities. Everyone in the complex was friendly. The place is in walking distance from the local restaurants and a Safeway. The Walmart is close by as well. If planning to cook my suggestion is go the property to check the items that are in the pantry to avoid from buying items not needed. The convenience of having everything within walking distance is a plus.

Overall really positive about the condo. Be aware it is 3 flights of stairs up which can be tricky with luggage. The loft area (master bedroom) is very hard to cool down. My suggestion to the hosts would be to spend some money on blockout blinds so that you are not wasting energy running the air all night. Otherwise very nice condo and better than the pictures suggest!

This was advertised as two bedroom, air conditioned. The loft bedroom was unbearable and unusable until late at night. Two window air conditioners downstairs kept downstairs over cooled because we kept trying to direct cool air up to the loft area. Some sort of shades on the otherwise unreachable upstairs windows might have helped but overall, not a comfortable experience upstairs. Otherwise, condo was nicely presented, clean, convenient to town and check-in was flawless.

We - a family of 3 - rent this condo for 10 days. For us, everything was perfect. The condo is located directly in Kona and you have to walk only 2 minutes and everything is around you (restaurants, shops, adventure agencies....). We had a rental to explore the island and a parking lot is directly in front of the condo. As well as the pool. The check-in and check-out, are easy! You got all information beforehand. The women from the agency care about you and if you had questions, the answer came in a couple of minutes. We would recommend this condo.

I stayed at this property for about a month and the unit itself was nice, clean, and well kept. Many of the appliances could use repair/cleaning/updating but are useable. The condo property is relatively quiet and most of the neighbors are quiet and friendly. The location is within walking distance of many places in downtown Kona which was very convenient but the crime in the area was slightly off-putting. Also, ensure to bring all of your possessions into the condo at night and lock the doors as I had a bike stolen from the property even though it was properly secured on the rack. Otherwise it was a nice stay and I can’t recommend the Kailua-Kona area enough!!!

This property is amazing. We stayed a week and it was just as listed. Everything we needed was there, scuba gear, beach towels, chairs, cooler it was all there. The view is amazing, you can see ships and the water right oit the back door. Mattresses were very comfortable, we both slept great! Neighbors were friendly. Hot tub, pool and grill very accessible. Downtown shops are literally across the road, I suggest you go shop in a different location just because most of those items are cheaply made. Find your local artists! More expensive but handmade items and memories to take home and keep for a lifetime, knowing the family worked hard making this was something we wanted more than a 10 dollar necklace that wouldn't had even made it the whole trip. It was a great experience here, we are already planning on coming back! Highly recommend this place if you want privacy but to be close to town. Owners are amazing and easy to get ahold of. Love this place!

Overall, the condo is nice but AC units are annoyingly loud. We used the living room AC 3x at bedtime only but didn't provide an acceptable coolness for the upstairs bedroom. The dryer lint trap is dirty, looks like it hasn't been cleaned for ages. We cleaned it out as much as we can but needs a special vacuum to clean the inner part, this was brought to the attention of the property manager. No one came in to clean it further. We were awakened one time at 3am, someone was yelling loudly outside. Not a tourist. Unable to go back to sleep after that. The patio is nice for morning coffee. The kitchen has everything we needed. A piece of trash was left by the house keeper or previous renter under the sink, we cleaned it out. We enjoyed our stay otherwise.

Well... we were a pretty laid back group and it didn't ruin our vacation. However, the cockroach parties in the restrooms and the kitchen were pretty gross. And it was irritating that there was NO shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/laundry detergent/etc... and there wasn't even enough TP for our group of 3 for the 10 days of our stay. Can't say I recommend the place.

This is a large unit with great separation between bedrooms. One bedroom is downstairs and the other is in the open loft both with their own bathrooms. We had our child stay in the loft and he loved his own space. The unit is well stocked for cooking and has a washer and dryer. The large balcony is great to enjoy your meal on and/ or coffee or drinks. The unit comes with great beach amenities too. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, cooler, ice pack, sunscreen, snorkel fins, etc. The location is one block up from all the shops and dining. As well as beautiful spots to watch the sunset. It was also great to have our own parking spot right outside the unit! No looking for or paying for parking!!

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Oasis. It should be noted earlier that you have to climb stairs to the third floor, including luggage in case that is an issue for some renters. Great accommodations, with lots of amenities! Loved the beach gear, great kitchen and laundry!
