A hidden gem and a Scottish highlight.

A gorgeous and romantic house, embedded in wonderful nature! Our room was very spacious yet still cozy. Beds were as comfortable as they can be. The staff is super friendly and polite. This Hotel is definitely one of the highlights on our road trip through Scotland!

We were sad that we had to leave and haven't planned another night at this wonderful place.

The rooms were stunning and the grounds and shared areas were also delightful. Ian looked after us so well, providing us with coffees and plenty of good recommendations. The breakfast was also a fantastic spread and the Full Scottish breakfast is not to be missed!

A wonderful country house in a quiet, peaceful area with beautiful views. Everything was clean, tidy and very well furnished. Iain, the host, was friendly and served an excellent breakfast. We couldn't fault our stay and highly recommend Tigh na Sgiath Country House Hotel to anyone visiting the Cairngorms.

Tigh na Sgiath for a lovely country stay.

Beautifully maintained old country manor, spacious rooms and lovely, helpful hosts. (Alan helped us book somewhere for dinner.) Their breakfast at the hotel was really good too.

It is a bit out of town so you can't walk to an evening restaurant.

unfortunately the bathroom wasn’t en suite and they did not do dinners. had to go to Grantown on Spey to get evening meal

Best Hotel In Scotland

My husband and I travelled to the Cairngorms to see the Dark Sky area during our honeymoon and we both wish we'd stayed longer at this hotel. The location was perfect, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and Ian was kind and very helpful!!! We spent a week in Scotland and this was this highlight of our trip. It was also the best breakfast we had throughout the week! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area or travel through Scotland.

I can't think of a single thing that could be improved. This hotel was stunning and everything went perfectly from checking in to checking out.

Comfortable, charming, beautiful location

Really charming Victorian country house, with views of the Cairngorm mountains from our bedroom window. We loved the huge bath, comfortable bed, dressing gowns and having a whisky by the fire in the evening. The quality of food at breakfast was fantastic - they really made an effort with our vegan breakfast and it didn't feel like an afterthought like vegan food can at hotels sometimes.
