OCEANFRONT Salvo - Colony Dr. - Gather the family together and treat them to a dream vacation at A BEACH DREAM. This generously sized home boasts outstanding ocean views, a large private pool with stereo speakers, an 8-person hot tub, a three-story elevator, handicap ramp into the home and a handicap friendly bedroom and bathroom. Just a short walk over the dune is one of the widest and least crowded beaches on Hatteras Island. The ground level features the game room with pool table and foosball, wet bar with microwave and mini fridge, laundry room, bedroom with two sets of bunks and full bath. On the mid level, you'll find three master bedrooms each with full bath (one handicap friendly with roll-in shower and deck access). Also on this level, find west-facing decking for some awesome sunsets. Remember to bring your laptop computer for our wireless internet connection. The spacious top level great room has a TV and spectacular views from ocean to sound as well as large kitchen and dining areas and a study with a desk and a fold-out love seat with ottoman, where you can work or relax while enjoying the ocean view. As you wind down for the day, enjoy the 180-degree ocean views from the back deck before you retire to the comfortable master suite on this level where A BEACH DREAM waits for you.

We somewhat last minute (3 months out) booked our stay and were lucky to get a great place. We wanted someplace where we didn't have to be around a lot of people and where the beaches were not crowded and this was perfect. Pool and beach were all the kids and adults needed for the week. Upon arrival we did have to run the sweeper. Sand was in some of the bedrooms, but we easily swept it up. I will say the house was surface clean, but it definitely could use some TLC. Cupboards were off and it just needed a good deep cleaning. We were not given much to start off with on supplies. We had 1 roll of TP, one roll of paper towels, 1 trash bag, and one tablet for the dishwasher so be prepared to come with all those items right off the bat. We emailed a question about something we were looking for on Monday and didn't get a response until Thursday. We had a small maintenance issue and called the maintenance line on Monday and never heard back from anyone. We understand that with Covid, they are not actually in the offices, but I would have thought timely communication would still be at the top of their list. We definitely had a great week, it was a great place to say, just needs a little love here and there.
