An oceanfront, well-manicured, and modern property has got it all for a great vacation with your family. Beach access couldn't get much easier than walking over the dune right from your property, and the amenities package at home provides entertainment, multiple common areas, and flexible sleeping arrangements. A dip in the private oceanfront pool is a great way to start your vacation—lounge around the spacious pool area with lots of seating and a nearby Tiki bar. The 6-person hot tub is tucked under the home for protection from the weather, and an outdoor shower provides a refreshing rinse from a long beach day. Inside the home, a game room greets you on the first level with a pool table, comfy sofa seating in front of a large screen TV with a Blu-ray player and sound system, a wet bar with a mini-fridge, and a game table for board games or puzzles.
Select from four lovely bedrooms on the home's mid-level, including two king master bedrooms with walk-in tile showers in their private baths. The other two bedrooms on this level, one with two sets of bunks and the other with two single beds, share the hall bath. Find one more king master bedroom on the home's top level with a private bath, ocean views, and access to the deck. The great room astounds with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a wood floor, and elegant, beach-themed decor. Gather around the large screen TV with Blu-ray player to enjoy your favorite shows or gaze through the expansive windows at the ocean view. The kitchen will delight you with modern stainless-steel appliances, tile floor, upscale countertops and backsplash, and a breakfast bar with seating for four. The dining area is tucked alongside the kitchen with ocean views, and a half bath provides convenience. For some quiet time apart from the group, relax in the top-level den with large screen TV, DVD player, and sofa bed. We loved the house and location. Both are beautiful. Everything is as described in the listing. Pretty much everything you need in the kitchen to cook meals, if desired. The mattresses are descent...good but not great. We would definitely stay here again.
As a side note, be careful at the bottom of the hardwood steps where they turn. The steps get quite narrow and are very slick. If you’re wearing socks only, it’s very likely you’ll fall. My wife and I had both fallen from about the third step within the first 24 hours of being there, and were highly active and in our 30’s. If we’re the first and only to fall on these steps I’d be shocked.

The pool area was amazing. The house was pretty nice. Washer didn't work but it was fixed that day. Housekeeping wasn't the best...pullout still had linens from previous people...dirty carpet with toys from previous guests under coffee table. Def mention walk over the duned is tough with babies and toddlers.
Beach was beautiful though. Nice and private :) We would stay there again.

The location get five stars, the house gets four stars and the booking process/hospitality gets one star.
Booking:
• The nightly, date-specific rate jumped significantly over the originally advertised rate at booking (apples-to-apples—neither rate inclusive of taxes). Why?
• Upon booking, VRBO charged us a their (expected) fee and ditched us. Everything else was done off-line directly with Surf or Sound (SoS), the rental company.
• SoS stated that an expensive damage insurance policy was mandatory. This was never disclosed until the entire vacation became non-refundable.
• SoS charged a significant fee for using a credit card, plus sales tax on the fee! This, too, was never disclosed before booking.
• The fees felt like extortion given the non-refundable status of the booking. We felt angry and resentful before ever setting foot on the property.
• SoS suggested I book directly with them next time, cutting out VRBO. This, they said, would have offset their undisclosed fees. Ethics?
Communication—overall, contradictory and money grabbing:
• We were told we needed to pick up a key at the office and we were told we had an electronic lock and didn’t need a key. Which one?
• Linens? We were told bed linens and towels, bed linens only, no linens. It was bed linens only but—amazingly— there was a service that would sell us towel service for the week!
• SoS bombarded us with emails offering to rent/sell surfboards, kayaks, tours, etc. It bristled coming from the company that bilked us for undisclosed fees.
Location:
• Fantastic! The house is located on a quiet street. The beach is beautiful.
The House:
• Photos are accurate; the house is really nice overall.
• The star of the house is the third floor.
• Stairs are steep, slippery and cut around corners meaning they taper to two inches wide in places. The handrails don’t run around the corners.
• The electricity went out on us five times over 30 hours.
• Bad water stains and drywall damage on the third floor ceiling.
• Ceiling damage on first floor.
• The detergent dish on the dishwasher is broken.
• The toilet in the third floor master bedroom randomly runs.
• Bed linen packs were short on pillowcases.
• The hot tub wasn’t ready.
• No tables on the decks.
• Minor ant issue. Disturbing issue with pest control company that showed up unannounced and fled when we tried to interact with them.
Nice house, great location, a little cold on service.
