Very cool historic home, unique stay

Stairs to the property a bit slippery.

We pulled up on two bicycles and our host immediately met us and opened up a door into a 500+ year old building with a well maintained bedroom and bathroom. Our host was welcoming and interested in us and our trip. He taught us Italian and encouraged our adventures. It was clear he was not just in it for the money. All around the place were Italians sitting outside having apertifs. Super friendly and we found a great restuarant.

Staying in this lovely palazzo was a pleasure. Good sized room, lovely breakfast and great parking. It is in an excellent location just a short walk to the centre of lovely Treviso, with lots of lovely shops and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to the train station for easy access to Venice. Our host was charming and very helpful answering our questions about what to do locally and our onward journey. The stay is on the top floor of the old Palazzo so yes there is a beautiful old staircase up to the space but we had help with our bags and it wasn't a problem. It was lovely to stay in such an authentic old Italian home.

Nice historic mini palace that from the street appears to be an abandoned building.

Wifi didn’t work well. Room has several quirks with the only windows being located in the roof as skylights. Lacks a sense of privacy and suffers from BnB negative stereotypes parodied in films like Meet the Fockers. Guest guidelines posted in room indicate no cleaning of the room or change of sheets. Yet my room was entered without permission or disclosure, likely under auspices/ fear of windows left open during rain, with not all articles accounted for.
