Beachfront Bliss in Koh Lanta

We stayed at Long Beach Chalet – SHA Extra Plus and booked a beachfront villa with a spa bath. For Thailand, this villa was definitely on the more expensive side, but the vibe, location, and the memories we created made it absolutely worth it. The villa itself was very spacious, airy, and beautifully designed. Room service was impressively fast, and housekeeping cleaned the villa daily while we were at breakfast, which was very convenient. The breakfast selection was good and varied, and the beach was stunning and well maintained. The only small downside was that there were not many sun loungers around the main pool. Our return flight was late in the evening, so we asked for a late check-out. The only available option was a garden room, but to our surprise it turned out to be a lovely little oasis with its own separate pool, which we really enjoyed. Beautiful setting and very helpful staff.

It was nice to be right by the sea. The staff were really lovely and friendly. I woke up the first morning and water was coming through the ceiling but it was fixed right away. The food was good and there was a good selection.

The pool and beach furniture just wasn’t kept clean. Maybe I was just unlucky but a couple of times went to sit down and things were covered with sticky stuff and ants. I would expect a little bit more with the price I paid.

Amazing!

Such a great place! The facilities such as the massages, coffee shop, bar and restaurant are right on the beach and has everything you need so you don't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. Its big enough to have all the amenities but small enough to feel warm and welcoming. Unfortunately for us it rained the entire trip but I can only imagine how great this resort would be in the sun! Staff was super nice and friendly and helped arrange snorkeling tours, motorbike rentals and transfers. Would highly recommend.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The location is great and the room confortable. We really appreciate the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant.

We did not like being wake-up every morning at 5 a.m. by the muslim prayer ...so loud. There is a mosque at 400 meters from the hotel.

Gorgeous, comfortable, close to the beach, close to the town and local restaurants.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The location is gorgeous, with rooms and facilities quite literally lining the beach. All facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The food and drinks at the restaurant were incredible and very reasonably priced considering. It is a resort without feeling like a resort. It was also very close to local spots, and we were able to hire a bike at the reception, so we could explore the island easily. The reception also organised a speedboat for us to our next destination, and the experience was seamless.

Pure Koh Lanta luxury

A truly luxurious resort in a stunning setting on beautiful long beach. Offers a bit of something for everyone, with a gorgeous pool, great bar, cool cafe and excellent restaurant. Theres a pool table and table tennis too. Rooms are huge, super comfy beds, lovely linen and towels and just loved the spa on the balcony. Super clean too! A bit more expensive than some of the other options on Long Beach but worth every cent!

Loved the layout of the chalets, coupled with the large pool and bar area. Food was fantastic, staff very friendly and we loved the addition of the bath tub on the balcony.

Don’t hesitate book it….You will love it…..!

This hotel was top notch and I extended my trip from four days to over a week without venturing outside the resort. Here is why: Beachfront to beautiful Long Beach Quiet Location great for proper rest and relaxation which was my reason for being there. Excellent facilities -my room was spacious, clean and came with free mini bar (without alcohol) that was replenished daily. Cleaned daily. Most staff helpful with enquiries and making arrangements for transfers etc. Great massages at beachside ( Jean, Kwan) and in house Spa ( Eid and Saroh) though pricier than local spas. Worth the splurge. Excellent and plentiful buffet breakfast with wide variety of choices of Western and Asian dishes. Wide menu for lunch and dinner with asian and western dishes. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from as well as private rattan beach booths. Pool on site if the sea is too rough, which it was an occasion due to it being rainy season. Nightly entertainment provided in dining area or at the bar. Highly recommend this hotel, which should be rated more than three stars .

Areas for improvement: (1) Cocktails at the bar were poor- I tried a few and none were tasty or strong. I suspect the alcohol may be cheaper quality fakes put in branded bottles. (2) Some reception staff were not as friendly or helpful as others. At check in some guests given more information than others even though we were in the same type of rooms. (3) Large lizards roam the grounds but to be expected in tropical climes. (4) Need to consider providing food and drink service at the sunbeds so guests don’t have to get up to go and do the ordering in person.

It’s really a nice hotel/resort. I really liked it. The bungalow was really nice and clean. Breakfast is good but not exceptional. Beach area is nice with lots of options to lay down facing the sea. The little café is cool. Food is good at the restaurant. All is not top class, but altogether it’s a really good place which really deserves a good rating of 9.

Amazing resort. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was amazing and our villa was beautiful. Everything was clean and the bar and restaurant in the resirt area was great as well.

The location is kind of further away from shops and other restaurants/bars, but we rented a scooter which was super cheap through the hotel.

Location & Setting: Tucked away on the quieter end of Long Beach, the resort offers direct beach access with stunning sunset views. The beach here is wide, clean, and less crowded – perfect for morning walks or lazy afternoons. The garden and beachfront chalets are spaced out, giving each guest a real sense of privacy and calm. Rooms: Depending on your vibe, you can choose between the garden view chalets surrounded by greenery or the beachfront ones just steps from the sand. Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and have a warm, natural design – think wood, thatch, and cozy corners. The outdoor showers are a particularly nice touch. Service & Staff: Warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful – the staff go out of their way to ensure guests feel at home. Whether it’s arranging scooters, giving food recommendations, or just offering a smile, their hospitality is top-notch without being overbearing. Food & Drink: The on-site restaurant, Lym’s Bar & Restaurant, is worth mentioning on its own. The food is fresh and flavorful, with good options for Thai and Western tastes. But it’s the cocktails at sunset, with your toes in the sand and a live acoustic set playing, that really elevate the experience. Vibe: It’s a mix of barefoot luxury and backpacker chill. You’ll find couples, solo travelers, and a few families – all seemingly in sync with the relaxed pace of the island. It’s not a party place, and that’s what makes it so perfect. Amazing luxury stay!

Staying at Long Beach Chalet was one of the highlights of our time in Thailand. The entire resort is incredibly gorgeous, and we appreciated having the option to book a massage on the premises (highly recommend!). The staff was incredibly helpful and polite, and the breakfast was the best! There were tons of options for all tastes. The restaurant and bar had a comprehensive & tasty menu as well, and we appreciated the entrertainment options (pool table, soccer, evening shows). We highly recommend visiting the cafe on the premises, we're still dreaming of the rose lychee iced americano we had there! Our chalet was extremely beautiful, it was very spacious, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of storage options, and it was stocked with everything you may need. For example, they provided a very handy beach bag, and snacks that would be replenished as soon as you ate them :) It was lovely to have an outdoor area to hang out just outside our chalet, even though we didn't end up using the jacuzzi. Overall, it's an amazing place to stay, and we highly recommend it!

The pool was beautiful, though it can get quite crowded as there are not enough sun beds for all guests. That being said, the beach is just a few minutes away, and there were plenty of seating options there. There was construction happening during our stay, which we were made aware of shortly after booking, but didn't really know what that would mean. It was sometimes a bit annoying as works started quite early, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. It even made us want to come back to see what it looks like after the works are done!

The resort was absolutely lovely! It is in a brilliant location by the beach with restaurants nearby and all of the external tours that we booked were able to collect us from the hotel. Breakfast had a great selection, the staff were always friendly and keen to help, and the surroundings are spectacular and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Best resort in the Long Beach area!

This resort is fantastic. It has a boutique feel and the rooms are beautifully decorated and super spacious. The bathrooms are a good size with a great shower and the whole resort is very clean. Excellent breakfast with so much choice and non dairy milk options too. The staff are fantastic, warm,. welcoming and extremely helpful, they go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Great restaurant and cafe with a wide variety of food and drinks. The home made gelato at Esp cafe is delicious and the coffee is great too. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of sunbeds. There is a no reserve policy for the sunbeds which is great and means everyone has the chance to enjoy them! The pool area is lovely and I believe there are plans for a second pool in the not too distant future so it will only get better! The reception area and Spa have just been refurbished and are stunning! Excellent location and reception will help to order taxis to anywhere on the island.

Great property right on the beach. Loved our Seaview villa- great layout & decor, comfy beds, spa bath on the balcony and a beautiful tropical bathroom! Really handy that the resort had a cafe, bar and food on location. Sometimes a bit of a walk or tut-tut ride to other options.

Gorgeous beach stay in Koh Lanta

LOVED LOVED LOVED Long Beach Chalets! We stayed on an upper level Lagoon Pavilion room and it was a gorgeous and comfortable room with a spacious bathroom and lovely waterfall shower. The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was great - so much variety and I enjoyed all of the tropical fruits and juices. The pool was refreshing but it was also nice being right on the beach. The hotel also offered a paid laundry service which was nice and could help you with tour and transport bookings. Lym's was really good too, although most days we ventured out to try other restaurants (there is so much amazing Thai food to be experienced on Koh Lanta)! I didn't want to leave and hope to return one day.

Great beach, perfect for families

If you have children, this is the place for you. We were on a sans children vacation so the crying babies were maybe a little much. We left 1 day early as the AC wasn't working correctly and was very noisy, 4 nights of this was 3 too many. We did ask them to repair the unit, but they were unable to. We went somewhere else that was quiet. Staff was very nice, beach and location were great. I will not stay again though.

Perfect getaway

We loved every minute of our stay! Room was comfy with just enough space. The pool is not big, but was never crowded and surrounded with comfortable seating with almost private pool entrances next to the beds. Excellent breakfast (although since there are great cheap fresh fruits around I’d expect freshly squeezed juices instead of store bought ones). Beautiful beach just next to the restaurant where you can take your coffee and enjoy it in one of the many poufs available for guests. There is a lot of shade in the beach area which is particularly useful if you’re traveling with small kids. SUP and other sports equipment is available for rent in the reception desk. Also, it’s probably not the property treat, but in March there were almost no bugs and mosquitoes ;)

The only thing missing for me was storage space for clothes. I wish there were some shelves/drawers.
