    Pros * Excellent location. With bus stops right along Shijo Street, which males easy to get almost anywhere in Kyoto. * Just a 2-minute walk to the nearest convenience store. * Has a coin laundry, making it a good choice for longer stays. * The public bath is spacious and features large windows, giving it an open, relaxing atmosphere. It’s also quiet as early as 5:00 a.m., so you can enjoy it before it gets busy. * Although the building is older, the hallways are relatively wide. * Compared with Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei, the breakfast offers a wider variety of dishes. It also feels more authentically Kyoto, with good-quality options such as Japanese rolled omelet (dashimaki tamago). Cons * The walls are quite thin, and noise from neighboring rooms is easy to hear. * As expected for its lower price point, overall it feels more budget-oriented than Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei. * The only milk available at breakfast is regular cow’s milk (This is same at Shinmachi Bettei) Given today’s health-conscious trends, it would be great to offer plant-based options like soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.

    Compared with Mitsui Garden Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei, this hotel is more budget-friendly yet offers excellent value for money thanks to its unbeatable location, great breakfast, and clean, relaxing public bath. I now prefer staying here over Mitsui Garden Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei, which is more relaxing but slightly less convenient and has fewer breakfast options, and even over Mitsui Garden Kyoto Station, whose location is also amazingly convenient but which has no spa.
