A good hotel, though pricy for a budget place.

Room was a good size. Bed comfortable, required sofa bed already set up. Bathroom clean and roomy, plenty of towels. Car park good.

Woken up by other residents banging on doors. Breakfast buffet busy, some items ran out, some struggled to find a seat.

Chaotic and uncomfortable stay

Staff were polite. Room was clean.

When I checked in (very late in the evening) and went into my room, there was already someone in there!! Had to wait while they found an alternative room, which they then suggested might be booked to someone else but they hadn't turned up. Went to bed worrying that someone would walk in. Same staff member knocked on door just as I was going to sleep asking to come in, which I declined. They said they wanted to check I was okay with the room given it was a twin instead of the double I'd booked. Bizarre. Then I got charged for drinks which the person in my original room had had. Add to that a clattering aircon, despite me turning it off, and a rock hard pillow. Dreadful stay!!

Very Impressed

Molly on Reception was warm and welcoming on our arrival. We arrived early, but she managed to get us into our room at 12:00hrs and gave us an upgrade due to us having Platinum status. The room was clean (although a little outdated!), but the bed was comfy, pillows great, towels fluffy and proper toilet paper! I honestly can't fault this hotel - the staff were all amazing.

Nothing really - location a little rough, but they can't be blamed for that!

Good hotel but very expensive.

Room was bright and clean. Hotel is modern and has nice facilities. Location was fine. Free parking was offered which is rare in Manchester. Shower was lovely and hot, with nice toiletries provided. Towels were fluffy and soft.

Very noisy (sounded like a herd of elephants were staying above us!) Charging port by the bed didn't work. Beds weren't the most comfortable. Room heater was very loud so our room was freezing as we couldn't sleep with it on. Room was very expensive.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well stocked, lovely smelling toiletries. Breakfast was fabulous, great variety of pastries, continental, full English buffet, fresh juices, coffee, tea and even had chefs specials. Good location, only a short walk from the tram stop into town centre. Will be back in April for next convention

Great stop over hotel

Good communication on accessible needs. Large room near lift which easily fitted wheelchair but not specifically an accessible room as had a bath. Food huge portions and reasonable Attentive staff Easy access to Salford University

Some poor maintenance in room, which was noted by reception quickly. Hard to see entrance from one direction so had to do a circle.

What a surprisingly excellent find and stay

When you walk through the doors it is very modern and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The eating and bar facilities and fantastic! The food delivered was of an exceptional standard unlike any holiday/ premier inn we have stayed in, it was delicious very impressed! As was breakfast. Very very happy with our stay and as my son is at university around the corner it is a gem. We will be regular visitors for the next 3 years. Well done to all staff.

Staff very friendly, very good location for what we needed (near to Salford University), excellent parking facilities which are free. The reception area is clean and airy. Decent sized room for a short stay. Breakfast offering was good.

Room needs updating and refreshing. Carpet was filthy and stained which made the room feel grubby. The bathroom was fine but the shower holder came off the wall. I would stay again when/if the rooms were upgraded - or at least th carpet changed!

Confirmation Means Nothing Here

Booking Not Honored — Poor Service Booked a twin room, but on arrival was told (rudely) only a double was available. Receptionist claimed she “wasn’t authorized” to help and refused to resolve the issue. I requested at least a note for refund since my booking had free cancellation, but I’m still waiting for any response. Very disappointing and unprofessional for an IHG hotel.

Good value, free parking, but a few comfort issues.

Staff were superb. They arranged a taxi, found an extension lead (sockets needed beside bed for CPAP machine), extended check-out time. Plenty of free parking, disabled space next to entrance, Large TV. All very clean.

We were delighted to walk into a cool room, but... there was only one basic chair. Two comfy chairs would have been nice for a relaxing evening. Now to be picky: the duvet was very thick so we were either too hot, or too cold. And the pillows and mattress were too hard for us. The breakfast was mixed, a good choice, but some items were cold, And GB News is not an option on the TV! But the pluses outweighed the minuses, so yes, we would stay again.

Close to our son, the staff were nice, and the reception area and bar were fine. Parking was good.

The room smelt damp and of cigarette smoke, the carpet looked like it needed a good clean, so did the air con unit The bathroom basin was badly cracked and the bathroom looked very tired, and the mattresses were very firm, too firm for us
