Always a friendly welcome. Nesrine on front desk was so lovely! Nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the bar are friendly and welcoming. Free parking is a huge bonus!

Rooms are very sparse and totally basic. Some staff are very friendly but others are either not at their station (spa) or not helpful (we asked for a taxi and got given a card and were told to call them ourselves).

The room that was given was not as advertised. Upon entering the room the shower curtains had missed few hooks, the bin was not done properly and there were no effort in the way the bed was prepared, so we asked for an identical room to what was advertised and paid for. Upon entering the floor there were coat hangers left outside randomly in the corridor, ( house keeping was not in progress at that time of the evening) when we got into the new room the couch had un mistakenly brown stains which we informed the service desk about who then advised that it will be removed it after we book out the following day. When charged that amount one will expect a certain standard.

I'd booked the Queen and king bed grand room, as a HB package and thought it excellent value. Room was fabulous, lovely comfy beds and fab shower - my 2 main requirements ! Easy access from motorway and good parking. Dinner and breakfast both very good. Very quiet at night, and slept very welll

A little lacking in atmosphere...but was a Sunday night in November, and it was lovely and quiet, so depends what you want ! The kettle, cups etc were hid away in a very low cupboard, rather they just put on top !!

Lovely staff and great facilities, but breakfast service needs better organisation.

The receptionist upon arrival was brilliant — very friendly and welcoming. The swimming pool and spa staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area and the overall cleanliness of the hotel were excellent.

Breakfast food itself was good, but the experience felt messy and unorganised. The café area lacked organisation: there were no cups at the coffee machine, the machine ran out of milk, and we had to ask for cutlery because none was placed on the table. There were also no tissues available. We were asked to get our food while our table was being prepared, but it still wasn’t ready when we returned.

The staff were so friendly and efficient. Such nice warm smiles make it a lovely experience from check in to check out. The beds are lovely and comfortable and black out curtains do a great job.

Unfortunately we were in accessible room without any knowledge that that is the room we would be getting. I would like to know that when I am booking that I am booking an accessible room. The room was also old and needs a lot of refreshing. The outside and reception is so shiny but once you go into the room, it’s like going back to 2003.

Voco Reading Hotel - Worth The Stay!

The room was spotless, and the bedding — wow! Those big quilt covers and the pillows… oh yes! We felt so snug and cosy, it was like sleeping in a cloud. We slept so well we didn’t even get up to use the facilities again before checkout. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, happy to answer any and every question we had. And the little treat on arrival? Such a thoughtful touch — it made us feel instantly welcome.

Unfortunately, the steam room was out of order during our stay, which was disappointing as it was one of the amenities we were looking forward to. Additionally, while the welcome treat was a nice gesture, only one was provided despite two of us checking in. It would have been more considerate to offer one per guest

Although the place was welcoming, staff extremely friendly and helpful, the lifts grounded the experience.

The property is great. Gym is superb. The layout of the facility is bright and inviting. Rooms spacious, yet could be a bit more cozy. The staff were all excellent in service and mannerism. I had a dilemma and the front desk staff solved it with ease.

The lifts were temperamental. My wife got stuck in the lift in the late hours of the night. She panicked thankfully there was someone on hand to get her out. A young lady with our group also got stuck in the lift the following day. This is not a good selling point and needs to be looked into.

Freezing cold.

Spacious room

The room was beyond freezing. We would turn the air con off and it would automatically turn itself back on. For the two nights we stayed we went bed freezing and woke up freezing. It was a nightmare trying to keep the air con unit off

A comfortable, calm stay with great service…

The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Nisserine on the reception desk at check in and check out.

My only query was regarding booking a slot to use the pool, I felt that there should be times when there are no children allowed so you can have a calmer environment (I was later informed they do have that policy, but I had not been informed).
