Fabulous hotel

Great location for M4. A lovely hotel beautifully furnished lounge and dining areas. The contemporary bedroom was immaculate and clean. Fabulous breakfast with an extensive choice of hot and cold food. Brilliant value all round.

Hot water could be much hotter if you need a bath, it would've been cold by the time the tub was full. Great shower though.

breakfast, Heating was broken, we did get one day refunded and moved to a second room, Reception said it was a one off, had no other complaints but then we heard 3 other couples moaning there heating was broken too, not good for Xmas weather. need think where to stay if cold next time. mini bar shocking one bottle of beer for two adults, hmmm that's not good is it... breakfast was limited, if you not early you basically get the left offs, not fresh.. if honest shocking..

Good location. Just off M4. Lots of shops/restaurants close by. Relaxing, comfortable bar area. Nice restaurant which we had a very good breakfast in.

Brilliant stay, easy , quick check in.

Enjoyed our 1 night stay at this hotel. Stayed with my husband and 2 daughters. Beds made up ready, easy access to facilities. Staff very attentive, especially the breakfast manager who entertained my children and had them laughing all morning. Will definitely use this hotel more.

Booked one twin initially. (2 guests) Booked a second because one of our guests snoring! Second room noticeably was bigger. But both rooms fine. Easy to book. Reception very helpful.

Fantastic staff, rather tired building

Your staff are excellent, from the check-in staff who were so helpful, to the wait staff on breakfast, there are a huge asset. The rooms are very clean but somewhat tired with albeit super-clean, stained carpet. I had an excellent night’s sleep. Brekfast was excellent, plentiful and the various elements on the hot buffet restocked regularly. Your team are your stars!

But my supper was not great, the pulled pork topped burger was very average- and the pulled pork could have been any sort of meat it was tasteless and stringy, then I had opted for the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream, it arrived with no ice cream and some sort of custard, that was changed for ice ream on my request, but sadly while the icecream was delicious, the pudding itself was tasted very burnt and the sauce was some colourless sweet stuff, so I couldn’t eat it.

hotel is always spot on , the rooms are always spot on , its like it is ran like a family business , food is really good , just a all round good vibe , this is the 3rd time i have stayed here with my wife and child

Stay room was beautiful,didn’t like when entire hotel full off airfresher which was disrespectful when knowing clients

The staff was friendly, the event staff served fabulous during at the tables for independence dinner with always a smile.

Again like last year I was had booked my hotel you for three persons this time including myself, those persons had turned all ready and booked in. When I turned up was expecting to have my room sorted due to two calls back in October confirming what’s done and they will sort out everything from the kitchen foods to the housekeeping due to the allergies noted from back the day booking done. Two remembers was sent through and I was put to wait again for an hour and 15mins as nothing was done. Which left me not been able to sort out myself on time Did complain,yo manager next day or front supervisor on the 16th Sunday which in the end gave a free ticket for a drink I can take with me. And removed the £4 bill for the shortbread biscuits. All the stress I went throughout should had gone through again like last years

When we booked said overnight parking was £5 when we got there they said had changed was £10 but they could get it done to £7.50 which I thought was bad if Uve said a price it should stay that price . Beds were so hard it was so uncomfortable to sleep hardly slept.

Fire alarm went off at 2am had to.leave room in the middle of night. Was not given a reason for the alarm when reception team were asked. Stain on one of the sheets on the bed.

Simply appalling customer service

Reception staff would not help me with my incorrect booking. Nor could I obtain any help at all from IHG guest services. Also despite trying by telephone and online for 3 hours it was impossible to obtain any customer service at all from Booking.com through which I had made the original reservation. Net result I shall be consulting my lawyers about attempting to recover my £150 paid for nothing, as I was forced to pay for another room in another hotel for my 2 night stay.
