Its location. Much quieter than a central core hotel. Easy to walk to the center. Lots of restaurants close by and the hotel dining was also good. The rooftop for cocktails was a bonus. We loved its history and that it still has the chapel. Beautiful! The front desk staff were excellent and gave great recommendations.
We stayed in the Annex, and it was a bit complicated to get to our room, and then haul our luggage up narrow windy stone stairs the early morning we left. The shower head did not work properly so we had to use the wand only. It was quiet most of the nights except for the loud bar up the street playing music that you could hear all over the neighborhood with large outdoor speakers.

Beautiful property with incredible heritage in an amazing location
We were given a beautiful, deluxe room but unfortunately there was no shower and only a handheld spray attached to the bath taps. This would have been ok if you could attach it to the wall but it wasn’t possible. Such a small thing that could be done to improve the facilities

Breakfast was delightful. Delicious in a beautiful courtyard.
The room was nice and serviceable. Not luxurious and the shower needs better water management, but I was very happy.
Location - Can't beat Trastevere in Rome, one of the world's great neighborhoods.
One thing I will add is the rooftop was amazing.
There was a woman who was running breakfast who was very rude to her staff. Everyone else that worked there was incredible. The shower causes the floor to get very wet and slippery and could be a little dangerous.

"We really enjoyed our stay at Donna Camilla. Our room was not in the "main" section, but was clean comfortable and quiet. It also had a small quiet courtyard that was great for a private evening cockt..."
