We would stay here again for a short break.

The staff were friendly. The room was tastefully decorated. The mattresses were good.

The room was a bit small. There was no proper wardrobe and no proper luggage storage. We parked on the street to avoid additional charges. We didn't use the minibar as it was quite expensive. There was no proper reading lamp when you sat in the armchair.

The room was reasonably spacious and, overall, quite nice for a 3-star hotel. From a visual point of view, it met expectations and initially gave a good impression.

Unfortunately, the negatives clearly outweighed the positives. The room was incredibly hot, making it difficult to rest properly. Even worse was the very poor soundproofing between rooms: I could clearly hear my colleague in the next room, including extremely private and uncomfortable noises, which is simply unacceptable. Breakfast was average at best, but the so-called orange juice was particularly disappointing. It was clearly artificial and, frankly, quite unpleasant — definitely not the way you want to start your day. In summary, the hotel has some potential, but major improvements are needed in comfort, insulation, and breakfast quality.

From the moment I arrived, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm and genuinely attentive welcome I received. The professional and multilingual staff demonstrated an exceptional level of service throughout my stay—always courteous, helpful and obliging. The hotel offers outstanding value for money, with rates that reflect superb quality without compromise. My room was impeccably clean and spotlessly maintained, featuring modern furnishings, a comfortable bed, a well-stocked complimentary minibar, and fast Wi‑Fi (over 25 Mbps) included in the price. Even during a particularly warm spell, the hotel offered thoughtful gestures like including the minibar at no extra charge to maximise guest comfort. I particularly appreciated the superb breakfast buffet, which was varied, fresh and well presented. The dining atmosphere was inviting and relaxed, turning the breakfast lounge into a real highlight each morning. The location couldn’t be better for both business and leisure travellers. It is just a four-minute stroll to the Siedlung U‑bahn station and within easy reach of Stuttgart’s top attractions, including the Porsche Museum, Wilhelma Zoo, and Solitude Palace—all reachable in only a short drive. As an eco‑certified hotel (Green Key), Mercure consistently delivers on environmental responsibility, from renewable energy and LED lighting to organic and locally‑sourced food offerings. It’s both comfortable and conscientious—a rare combination. Additional wonderful touches include a peaceful garden and terrace, access to a nearby fitness facility, a business centre, conference rooms, dry‑cleaning services, and electric vehicle charging stations. In summary, Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Gerlingen is a standout choice for anyone seeking superior service, value, location, and sustainability. It far exceeded all expectations—I can’t wait to return.

There is no room service to clean the room every day but I asked for new towels and they provided them

Staff were disappointing this time. Especially the lady at check-in who was really a bit rude. No air conditioning in the hotel rooms or the reception area itself.

No aircon, the fridge was not cold, and the drinks in the room were not replenished before my stay. Reception staff were visibly annoyed that we arrived before check in time.

Location

They have a policy of cleaning the room after three nights, which I think was very bad. I had my toddler pick things from the floor and put them in his mouth. So basic cleaning is extremely necessary. Apart from this I have never been in a hotel where they have such cleanliness policies, even during corona it was not like this when there was actually a shortage of staff. Another problem with the hotel is they do not have ac in the rooms. So in a hot day where the walls are also insulated one has no other option other than keeping the windows open completely otherwise the room was very suffocating.

The food was excellent and the hotel manager was amazing.

The hotel is still under COVID-19 protocol so thay do not cleen the rooms and you have to ask them to change towels or to bring toilet paper.

Convenient

Good breakfast, nice pillows, good quality furniture and bathroom and super nice Staff.

I stayed 2 nights and the room was not cleaned between those two. This has also happened in previous stays. Elevator is quite loud and can be heard from the rooms. Also, rooms have no A/C or fans which in hot days makes sleep quite hard.

Food was tasty, stuff is so kind, atmosphere and interior of dining room are very cozy, bed is comfortable and towels are clean white. Location is really quiet, there is free parking around the hotel if you don't want to pay for it at the property

The bedding had red dots so it didn't look very clean, room interior is a but poor, there was no hand sope.
