Cosy, great location, clean and peaceful.

The cottage had such a cosy feel. It was extremely clean and the hosts went to the trouble of leaving us extra amenities like fresh bread and butter. Had everything you need for a country side stay. Loved that it was located next to the river and waterfall. The location was perfect for walks around the reservoir and to the local pub for dinner & drinks. The cottage had wood provided for the fire and a TV with Netflix, Iplayer etc. then bed was really comfy, and the host was super welcoming and helpful, even going to the extent of helping us find nice walks and places to eat in the evening. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Comfortable little cosy place for R&R with a wood burning fireplace, and very good value for money.

My wife and I very much enjoyed staying at the Millrace cottage for a couple of nights. It has everything that we need and it's very nice and cosy little place with a real wood fireplace. The large sofa with a big foot stool is very comfortable to use. Especially when watching the big screen TV. Good value for money and better than staying at a hotel. The host provided us with the all the information we need and easy to communicate through Booking.com.

Just some minor points: The light for the stairs could be a little brighter. No washing up liquid.

A perfect place to stay if you don’t mind being a little out of town, comfy, cozy and quiet

Everything you need if you wanted to cook, Upstairs had lovely towels and bed linen. Nice arrival to some fresh bread and bits if you wanted a cuppa! Shower and bathroom so nice.

Relaxing and peaceful

Had almost everything you needed, very cosy and pretty. I chose it specifically for the balcony over the river below.

The parking available is awful if there are vans parked in the same area. We didn’t go out one night because it had been so difficult to park when we got back in the afternoon.

Fabulous peaceful stay on the river.

Cute cottage on the side of the river, so relaxing listening to the whoosh of the water. Looked out for a Kingfisher but no joy. Fabulous comfy big bed and the shower in the bathroom is great. Great location for Pickled Pheasant , Vineyard and walks by the river. Kate the host is fantastic and made us feel very welcome and left us with a few bits pieces to get us started.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing.

Everything was clean, tidy and ready. It has been great to be able to completely rely on Kate to consistently provide a cottage that works for our stay to take part in competitions. There is never any distraction from the competition as everything is always perfect with the cottage. My wife and I have been many times, and it is consistently excellent.

Clean, comfortable, relaxing.

Everything. This was out 3rd stay and it was every bit as good as the others. The cottage is lovely, the water running past is lovely to hear and the balcony is very nice to take in the environment. The cottage is always very clean with stocked wood for the fire and a nice fridge and utilities. The host, Kate, is also lovely and I'm sure if there were even the slightest issue she would take care of it promptly.

It's close to perfect, and exception value for money. I cannot think of anything that I could reasonably express as a dislike.

Perfect quiet cottage

I liked everything about this cottage and stay. The host is exceptionally friendly. We even had a visit from a neighbour interested in our sporting equipment and we had a very nice friendly chat for a couple of hours. So the neighbours are great too. The cottage is always spotlessly clean and it was on this stay also. Kate is a pleasure to talk with. There is plenty of facilities, the heating system is good. The sound of the stream running past is delightful. It is a very relaxing place to be.

I find the parking a bit of a struggle, but this is because the vehicle is enormous. It has always been possible, with care, to get in and out. There is really nothing that can be done to improve this. On the plus side the neighbours are incredibly friendly and made it really easy to park at a wierd angle without causing upset. It's perfectly fine, but it is something that perhaps would be better somewhere else if you have a very large vehicle.

Perfect clean cottage.

Kate is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The cottage was spotlessly clean everywhere even the often missed things like extractor fan covers were immaculate. The balcony is fun and the sound of the water I found very calming.

Very comfy and cozy cottage with nice walks direct from the door.

Very cozy and very quiet location with burbling brook at the property's rear. Great wood burner made the living room easy to fall asleep in!

The search for additional firewood was a bit of a chore. Otherwise all was tip-top.
