The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is very well situated for York and the many attractions the area has to offer but still has all the quiet, countryside benefits of a small village. Our host was friendly, helpful but unobtrusive.
My only suggestion is that the bed linen is changed. Although in excellent condition, it's very rough, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.

The cottage was ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Moors and the coast. It was very cosy with views onto the garden and although it was attached to the owners property it felt very private. A lemon drizzle cake was left as a welcoming gift which added a nice touch and was delicious. There is private parking right outside the property and The Plum and Partridge Inn is only a two minute walk away.
Nothing, everything was perfect down to the shower.
