A gem of a place to stay.

The bedroom was very comfortable with lovely furniture. The bathroom had a good sized shower, lovely towels and everything was spotlessly clean. James (the host) was so welcoming, we arrived quite late, but he still made us comfortable with a pot of tea. The breakfast was outstanding! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, croissants, toast and cooked English with sausage, eggs, bacon and other extras. All in all, we simply can't praise the cottage and owner enough.

Wonderful two night break and James the host was excellent!

The location is beautiful, it’s so peaceful and pretty. Close to Frome, an easy drive to the town. The room was well appointed with everything you could need, comfortable beds and bedding. Breakfast was amazing, James cooked up a great breakfast and there was plenty of choices available. Fantastic coffee too!

Great host in beautiful property.

What a wonderful host James is! So kind & thoughtful: he even cooked my dinner for me, as I was recovering from illness/injury. Lovely, comfortable bedroom & big ensuite. Very warm & quiet. Easy to get to from Frome. Beautiful surroundings. Great breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble.

Nothing really! Minors- the shower pressure was quite low - could do with power shower? Driveway had lots of potholes & needs some work. Nb. I wasn't expecting to be staying in someone's home. It worked out fine but think the advertising on here should be clearer (unless I missed something?).

Lovely peaceful place to stay!

Really enjoyed my stay with my granddaughter in August… beautiful peaceful place to stay… Friendly knowledgeable host who was happy to share his knowledge about the locality- recommended a lovely pub for dinner.. lovely breakfast with a great variety of quality products- sending my granddaughter off with fruit snack for the day..

An enjoyable three night stay.

Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Delightful host, lovely breakfast (great selection), tastefully decorated. James is happy for you to share his kitchen and lounge with him.

We felt a little intrusive as we had to walk through James's living area to reach the bedroom! He didn't mind though and was very friendly and accommodating.

Superb accommodation and excellent host

Lovely quiet location just a few minutes drive from the beautiful, friendly market town of Frome. James the host was such a kind, friendly, congenial host, with helpful knowledge of the local area, nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast was an outstanding smorgasbord of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, toast, followed by a cooked breakfast of top quality products, was excellent value for money. I would recommend this spotlessly clean accommodation to anyone, really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely wonderful

My daughter and I loved our stay. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, making us exceptional breakfasts each morning at a beautifully laid out table and welcoming us in the evenings as well as offering advice on where to visit in the area. It really was a home from home, it made the trip so special, and we will definitely be back!

A great B&B to explore Longleat, Nunney and the surrounding areas of interest

Jasmine cottage is great. The room was spacious and comfortable for myself and my son and the en-suite bathroom has a large shower. There is tea/coffee making facilities in the room, a patio table downstairs which guests can use and lots of outside space to explore. Our host, James, prepared a fantastic breakfast both days of our stay; a cooked breakfast or croissants, fruit and yoghurt or a decent choice of cereal. He has great local knowledge and is helpful and approachable.

Highly recommended.

Loved the welcoming with tea and home made cake on arrival. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful. The surroundings were beautiful and exceptionally peaceful. James was a lovely host. The bathroom had a very good shower. Loved the old world charm of the property.

A great find

James was an exceptional host, greeting us on arrival with a cup of tea and cake. The room was perfect for our needs and in a good location for the places we wanted to visit such as Cheddar Gorge, Bath, Wells, Frome, the Haynes motor museum and Glastonbury. We stayed 4 nights. Breakfast was superb and included fruit juice, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, cooked breakfast which was different each day and tea or coffee. James was knowledgeable about the places we wanted to visit and gave us local information which helped us, such as park and ride locations. He recommended a nearby pub, The George, which served very good food and we went each of our 4 nights.

Cosy, accommodating and with a full belly

Not breaking new ground here by saying James' breakfasts were incredible. He offers a table-full of continental options whilst he prepares a unique cooked breakfast each day of your stay in the oven. one day I had my breakfast in the shape of a smiley face! A tranquil river walk was just a short walk from the BnB which I also enjoyed. My visit was during a bat course and I had to be back late (past midnight) on several of the evenings. James made sure this wasn't a problem and was generally very accommodating throughout.

Could maybe do with a wi-fi booster as the signal was a bit patchy in the visitors room. The internet connectivity in that part of the county however was not terrible in comparison to some other locations.
