Perfect. Exactly as we had hoped it would be - we were all extremely happy there.

Beautiful place full of character and charm. Great host - she even put up some decorations when she discovered we were celebrating my sisters birthday. The location literally couldn't have been better - a short stroll 'round to the town which was beautiful: full of lovely independent shops, bars and restaurants. We had a fantastic time and would (will) definitely come back again.

Another loo would have been great but, bearing in mind the age and design of the property, it was fully understandable that it didn't have one.

A jewel. You’ll miss it once you leave - we do!

It is more beautiful than the pics give it credit for - our three boys adored the attic bedroom and all the shiny treasures around the cottage made it such a delightful stay (as did the quality bedding and huge cooker). Host was very responsive and it’s the personal touches that make us want to return!

It’s cosy, and it’s on a bit of a busy corner (we enjoyed the people-watching though).

Perfect cottage

Such a cosy, homely little cottage with lots of things thought of such a little extras in the kitchen etc. Lovely bathroom, outdoor area, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated and house is in a great position too. Good communication and instructions on everything also!

We had a great stay, the house was nicely decorated and close to the lovely city.

With 5 people (two adults and three kids) it was ok for sleeping and relaxing, but it was a bit small when you wanted to have dinner together inside the house.

We booked very last minute after being quite disappointed at our original booking. She called immediately and very quickly got the house ready for us. My daughters loved it. Nice location and clean lovely space to spend the night.

The attic room has very low ceilings but my daughters didn't mind

Lovely cottage with lots of character, great location and comfort

Great location, within easy walking distance of the beautiful town of Frome. Very comfortable and quiet, lovely outside area, beautiful furnishings, ample room for a big family. Lovely bath and shower and plenty of towels provided. Communication with the owner was great. The free car park at the back of the cottage is very handy.

The only small downside was the trek downstairs to the toilet from the top floor at night, but it was to be expected in such cottages. Perhaps a small pot of milk or some UHT milks would make a lovely touch to go with the tea and coffee, which is kindly provided.

it s a very small feature but would be nice to add a small curtain at the bathroom window. you can t really see through it but it added a bit of stress when using the bathroom.

A pleasant stay some maintenance issues

Gorgeous old cottage loved the log burner and plenty of kitchen gear to cook our double bed was really comfortable and we slept well we were able to boost heating which was explained well

It’s an old property and there were issues with the toilet leaking which hosts did come and look at and did a temporary fix and the sky light in the bathroom also leaked Both these things need to be properly fixed

Exceptional. Everything was perfect. Worth booking!

The cottage was so lovely! Absolutely loved it! Had an amazing stay! Everything was so clean. Good facilities! Cozy! Parking nearby! Everything we needed was provided. High quality bedding, throws and cushions. The host even left a hot water bottle for everyone which definitely added to the little touches! Beautiful arts and crafts around the cottage. Tamasine was a great host! Would not hesitate to re book if we ever visited the area again!

Awesome jewel in Frome

The cottage is a real jewel. It looks 'basic' from the outside but when you step in you inside you instantly feel at home. It's decorated beautifully, there's ample room and rooms/beds. There are games to play (we had a great game night), books to read and everything you would need in the kitchen to cook. The shower was amazing and it had the cutest outdoor courtyard. The host even left bread, honey, eggs, milk and fresh orange juice for us. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here

It was beautifully furnished - you can tell the owners loves this cottage! Exceptionally well equipped with lists of thoughtful extras like tea, coffee, breakfast supplies, lovely toiletries etc. Great location too.

Only slight negative was the access to the attic room and the staircase. You have to be extremely careful using it, especially in the middle of the night if you need to use the ground floor bathroom!

Amazing cottage!

We loved our holiday at The Fern Tree Cottage. Frome is a nice city in a beautiful region of England with lots to see and do. The cottage is beautifully decorated, we loved all the details and the ambiance. It was clean, everything we needed (and more) was there. The hostess is super friendly and made us the happiest vacationers!

Warm and cosy cottage in an excellent location near to the centre of Frome. Our host was extremely helpful and kept in regular contact to ensure we had a good holiday. The added bonus of having breakfast items provided was a treat. We will definitely recommend Fern Cottage to friends and family.

Delightful Fern Tree Cottage

The cottage was beautiful, with excellent, good quality facilities. The beds were especially comfortable. We loved the location with its easy parking and access to routes in and out of Frome. We loved walking round the corner to get our croissants in the morning.

You needed to be quite agile to get up to the attic bedroom.

Amazing!

We have literally just got home from our stay at Fern Tree Cottage and had to leave a review straight away. This was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It has everything you could possibly need from breakfast, bath salts, hairdryer to ear buds and so much more! It was so well equipped. The location was perfect for a visit to Longleat and it has a co op and plenty of eateries within a 2 minute walk. It was spotlessly clean and all beds were very comfortable. You could either park on the street if there is space but if not there’s a large car park around the back, we had 2 cars and never struggled to park. Tamasine was a great host, we wouldn’t hesitate to re book if we ever visited the area again! Thank you 😊
