The hosts (and cats) were really nice, breakfast was okay- cereal, yogurt, soy milk and some type of granola-cereal. nice location for the lights in winter but it is a bit far from all of the ski resorts and from the museums and zoo in the city. also- no free parking, only paid.

The owners were very kind, and so were all the guests. I had plenty of wonderful conversations, and it felt like we all became fast friends. Everyone was so talkative that I felt like I could talk as though we had known each other for a while. I also had the chance to hang out outside the hostel with a few, which was great in a town where there isn't too much to do, at least for cheap. The cats were so cute. It took a few days, but they warmed up to me, and by the end, they were demanding all the pets before I checked out. The location is perfect, as it's only about a 10-minute walk from the station and has numerous bus stops near it, including one directly from Asahikawa Airport. It's also near the famous shopping and restaurant street in town, which was very convenient.

The washer could struggle to dry clothes, but they provide clothes racks above your bed for drying. I never had an issue with clothes drying, as they were always dry by the time I woke up.

Very peaceful. Nice owners.

Check very late, check out very early and no possibilities to stay after check out to work, or to have coffee. Effectively, you’re paying quite a lote (compared to other hostels) for a very short period of time which means the cost per hour is quite high. I ended up waiting outside for hours before being even invited to get in.
