Alpine Guesthouse

Alpine Guest House is very well located. It is just a few minutes’ drive from Furano Marche, Furano Cheese Factory, Furano Winery, Ningle Terrace, parks and good restaurants. Lawson’s is within walking distance and DCM and supermarkets are a short drive away. We stayed for five nights. My room had a bunk bed. The mattresses were firm and had clean sheets and comfortable duvet with clean duvet covers. The best thing was that in the room, there was a toilet and a good quality sink-and-mirror set with four compartments for keeping toiletries at close reach. There was enough space to place our things and hang our clothes. The air-conditioner was in very good condition. The room was well lighted and has two windows. There was a small table and two camping chairs. The shower facilities and the kitchen are shared. The showering rooms have individual lockable cubicles. I felt secure and enjoyed the hot showers, as the water pressure was good and the taps were easy to use. We were allocated space in the fridge according to our room numbers, and there were appliances for heating up food and a stove and pots for cooking. There is a dining table outside the kitchen. Downstairs, there is a lounge area near the front desk. There are washing machines and dryers, and even drink dispensing machines. There is a lift, which is enormously useful when checking in and checking out with our luggage. Overall, Alpine guest house is very thoughtfully organised and managed. It is clean and the facilities are in tip-top working condition.

We had a pillow each. I sleep better with two pillows. The manager Hiro would probably have given me another pillow if I had asked. Although there was enough shelving space and clothes hanging space, we could not keep the room as neat and well-organised as we would have wanted to, due to the lack of drawers.

Good location. Relatively small but have everything I need.

Have stayed a few times now and always impressed. Clean and comfortable and professionally run.

A couple of changes have seen the communal lounge shrink a bit and with restrictions on the dining area for socialising it’s a very minor negative.

Location and a large kitchen for cooking meals

Walls are too thin, so I could hear people snoring, and talking in other rooms. Also having to pay the full amount in advance with no chance of being refunded.
