Light, spacious apartment, super location

Wonderful location. Huge, light, airy apartment. Comfortable beds - three different firmnesses (we would all have liked the softest but all the beds were comfortable and alternative blankets and pillows were available in the wardrobes). Two good bathrooms (showers only). Lovely view. Very convenient indeed for the beach, shops, cafés and museums. Easy instructions for access. Parking not cheap but only just round the corner.

Very little not to like! One wonky shower head holder, which we expect will be fixed. Wish we'd booked for longer!

Great location but would not book the apartment again.

It’s not immediately obvious that there are two bedrooms that interconnect. This was awkward and embarrassing. There are very limited instructions particularly about using the hob oven and also in terms of what to do with waste products. We couldn’t find the toaster. As we struggled to work the hob we were limited in our food options.

Lovely apartment in the middle of Arromanches

Lovely first-floor apartment situated right in middle of Arromanches, with a number of bars/restaurants within easy walking distance. Free car park about a 10 minute walk up past the supermarket and by the coach park.

Minor niggles - there were no spare toilet rolls anywhere, so we ended up buying some and leaving them. Also as it is an old building the floorboards were very creaky, as were the floorboards in the apartment above, so when they moved around, it sounded like they were moving furniture around, but I guess you can't do anything about that. Although there is a guide in the apartment, the page about recycling was only in French, which we missed, and were left a note about putting the bottles in the wrong bin. They only have a black and yellow bin, whereas we have a green (for recycling). Would suggest an additional page in English/German/Spanish/whatever to explain about the recycling.

Superb Location, amazing apartment

Absolutely loved the location, the view from the living room out over the beach and the town were amazing. Beds were very comfy. There were loads of facilities for the stay. Place was clean. Loved it. Was no hassle at all picking up the keys and using the codes for the main gate. Parking was easy. Just amazing

Great vacation at one of the five D-Day landing beaches

Great location with a great view. Comfortable bed in the main bedroom (the only bedroom used during our stay). The two bathrooms and washer and dryer were very useful.

Instructions on how to use the washer and dryer would have been helpful. We spent about 45 minutes searching the internet before we found instructions in English.

My (temporary) home by the sea

The location is excellent! The apartment was quite spacious and comfortable for my family of four. It was a nice change of pace to be able to cook for ourselves.

We figured out how to use the induction cooktop, but some instructions would have made it easier. The building is old, and you can hear noises from the floor above, so light sleepers should bring earplugs.

Close proximity to the sea and middle of town. Good location to explore Normandy Beaches. Lots of space, great washing facilities, and our favorite place in our 3 week European holiday.

The third bedroom is a little funky as you have to go through it to get to another bedroom. Parking close to the apartment is very limited. Good luck getting a space during busy season. The owner was not super helpful.

The dish washer did not work so had to washecerythibg by hand after being loaded The shower in one toilet was overflowing so couldn't be used. Very noisy people upstairs.

Exceptional

The location was terrific, almost on the beach. Perfect for visiting the WWII beaches and museums. Local restaurants were good, especially 6 Juin which is a few blocks away. Great bar, the Marie Celeste, fun vibes! Beds were good and comfortable.

lovely property, spotlessly clean, ideally located, very well equipped, excellent stay thank you. First day we had heavy rain but the apartment was very warm and cosy. For the remaining days we had beautiful sunshine and we were able to open the windows to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. Ideal spot for visiting D Day landing museums. Excellent range of inexpensive restaurants on the doorstep. Delicious patisserie and well equipped supermarket a short stroll away. Thoroughly recommend.

Great base for Normandy beaches

An excellent, large apartment, with three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large L-shaped open plan area with reception hall, sitting area, and dining area with kitchen. There is one large bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, and two smaller but adequate double bedrooms, one leading off from the other, and sharing a bathroom with shower. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, with full-size fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is also a kettle, filter coffee machine, and a good range of cutlery (including oyster knives!), crockery and pots and pans. The apartment is right in the centre of the small town, overlooking the tourist office, an ice cream shop, with an oblique view of the sea. The D-Day museum is currently one-hundred yards away, but the new extension is being constructed in the space between, so it will soon be even closer! The construction appeared to be suspended when we were there, so there wasn't any noise or disruption. There are few shops in Arromanches - for food, just a boulangerie and one small Proxi convenience stall - but Bayeux is a short drive away and has a full range, and a Saturday market. There are several reasonable restaurants, and for more upmarket and gourmet options, Port-en-Bessin and Bayeux are better. There was plenty of parking nearby. The car-park just around the corner on Rue du Petit Fontaine is convenient, and cheap. The owner of the apartment was very efficient and clear with text message instructions, and everything went very smoothly. The apartment was the perfect base for a group of friends visiting D-Day sites and museums.

Great apartment fab location for D-Day beaches

Spacious apartment easily big enough for the 6 of us, very clean and comfortable, light and airy, lovely views on to the little high street and beach. Awesome location - right in the centre of Arromanches and great for exploring the nearby D-day beaches. Would highly recommend, we had a fab stay.

Only downside is the steep flight of stairs up to the apartment which were a bit slippery in the wet but there are handrails to hold and a light for when it’s dark.

Fantastische locatie, echt aan het strand, zoals de foto toont. Die is uit het raam genomen. Hartje centrum. Bezoek was in maart, dat is wel net voor het seizoen. Veel barretjes op tijd dicht. Ruim appartement met drie slaapkamers en twee douches. Keuken met alles erin.
