Good location from Keswick short walk, good parking comftable incl. dishwasher etc. tv dvd player

easy to find comftable plenty of space for small Family

No welcome pack supplied nor offered i.e basics Milk etc. Toilet seat was broken i.e hanging off, alone with the light not working in Bathroom, was difficult to get through to cottages .com or Bookings .com on phone kept being transferred from one to another as no one was willing to take control or responsibility to get sorted / eventually Kim from cottages.com got someone around but not successful so somewhat disappointed with there service as thes should have being sorted before any guest entered the Lodge (Being reported from the cleaners or other guests ? )

We messaged booking.com to complain about the above and have not had a response at all.

Location was good

We were very diss appointed when we arrived on Friday, having travelled from Newcastle in heavy traffic and heavy rain, to find that the cottage had not been cleaned after the previous let. There were cupboard doors etc open, furniture moved, floors needed cleaning etc. but most of all, the beds still had the previous guests bedding on and used towels were strewn across the beds. This was not what we expected to walk into. After contacting the booking agent a cleaner arrived about 5pm and we had to sit in the car, in the rain, until the lodge was cleaned. The cleaner did do her best, However, we did feel that the cleaning was probably not as thorough as it would have been prior to our arrival and this did have an adverse impact to our stay.
