Location is perfect with a 15 minute riverside walk into the centre of Keswick and right next to a lovely pub!
Main bedroom was too small, so we slept in the larger bedroom with 2 single beds.
Outside area was not very nice, a table and chairs would have been better than a bench.

A cosy and warm cottage, twin beds which we slept in were very comfy. Had all the kitchen items you needed for cooking, crockery, cutlery and glasses.The location was ideal, just a 15mins walk into Keswick town centre. The Pheasant inn right next door was also very cosy and the dinner's were delicious with a great choice on menu and staff so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.
It would have been nice to have a small welcome pack for late arrivals ie small loaf of bread, small tub of butter, small pint of milk, some coffee sachets, some tea bags and some sachets of sugar. Also could do with a net curtain in the sitting room window as passers by seem to look in a lot.

Cottage very comfortable, well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. Good TV, radio, Wi-Fi, easy to manage heating.
Rear yard entry/exit dirty and depressong. Bench provided but nothing to look at other than grubby stone wall so not suitable for any outdoor relaxation. A few pot plants or ivy covering wall would have helped. Only single toilet roll and almost empty bottle of washing up liquid supplied for 7 day stay, seemed quite stingy. "Double" bedroom tiny and dark so had to use single beds. Underside of bathroom sink plug covered in black mould and hair, which we bleached and cleaned. A courtesy call from agent or owner shortly after arrival would have been nice just a to ask if everything OK.
No doubt this venue would be perfect for younger walkers but in our opinion not ideal for older couples or families.
