Lovely updated ancient house with amazing view and AC

The view is spectacular. The property has been is use for centuries and has a beautiful mature garden. It has been updated. The air conditioning and power were terrific. The “living room” is outside and has an amazing view of the town, ocean, and the neighboring towns and island. It’s a wonderful place to stay when exploring Porto Venere and nearby spots. We loved Porto Venere. The host is lovely. Porto Venere is a cute town that actually has Italians living in it. It’s not as easy to get to as Cinque Terra. The bedrooms are connected and the bathroom is in a separate door connected to the kitchen, which you have to go outside to access. This worked for us and made sense with the price point and structure. There are lots of steps—it’s at the top of the village. Better than pictures. We spent lots of time outside in the yard.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only things I can think of are water got on the floor when we showered and we did not like the restaurant our host recommended.

This apartment was delightful-sparkling clean, comfortable, and fully outfitted with everything you might need. The location and views are amazing. Most of all, the host is friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home.

Lovely accommodation, where the old world meets new, at top of the village, with outstanding views, neighbouring seagulls & the most generous hospitality by all the family. Highly recommend!

Exceptional

Beautiful and well equipped house with an amazing view. The very friendly and helpful hosts provided everything you need and more for an unforgettable stay in Porto Venere. Ingredients for Italian breakfast, namely excellent espresso, milk, juice and pastry, were a very nice surprise prepared by the hosts. The double bed is large and comfortable. The garden and two terraces made the house a true oasis on the hill top of Porto Venere.

Steps, steps and steps leading to the house. It is recommended to pack light for the stay because there are plenty of steps and no direct drive to get to the house, but it is definitely worthy of every sweat! :)

Highly recommend!

Giovanna was INCREDIBLE! She was so kind and generous, met us at the door when we arrived, had chilled wine waiting and gave us lots of great recommendations. The view was unbeatable - you look out over the water, the island and the mountains. We miss it already!

Not a negative, but it is a bit of a hike up many stairs from the main square to the apartment (not reachable by car). We got our workout in, and the views were worth it!

A lovely spot for a vacation! And the beach was wonderful !

The privacy and the view. The apt. was very comfortable and we spent a relaxing 3 days there. It was nice to have a kitchen for cooking. Giovanna was very helpful and available when we needed her for answering any questions.

Magnifique lieu et accueil exceptionnel!

Une belle découverte que « Il nido dei Gabbiani ». L’endroit, situé sur le haut du village, est charmant et comporte tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un excellent séjour, la vue y est magnifique et l’on peut en profiter pleinement du jardin fleuri ou de la terrasse. Mention exceptionnelle pour nos hôtes , Giovanna et Francesco, qui nous ont partagé leur amour de la région et de la mer autour d’un sympathique apéritif maison. Grazie mille e a presto

È una casa antica! Quindi molto nei nostri gusti! In una posizione ottimale! Si trova in centro ma essendo nella via più alta di Portovenere vi è la fortuna di non sentire il via vai dei turisti nelle vie sottostanti! È davvero meraviglioso!

La casa è un gioiello e ha un bellissimo giardino con una vista spettacolare sull'isola Palmaria. Giovanna, la proprietaria, e la sua mamma sono entrambe state gentilissime e ci hanno aiutato a rendere davvero perfetto il nostro soggiorno.
