Casa Gioconda

Awesome view of the harbor and the active street below. Perfect location opening onto restaurant row. You truly get the feeling you are a part of local life. The space is rambling and comfortably awkward. Kitchen is on the top floor to keep heat above the sleeping and living areas. The spacious bathroom is downstairs and the small shower is upstairs, so we found ourselves showering then going downstairs to buff and fluff. Adorable, passing each other with our towels wrapped around us. The cleaning lady met us and allowed us to store our luggage early. The place is spotless clean. We used the washing machine and drying rack. Overall, awkwardly comfortable, a true period piece apartment with spectacular views and location.

Not a complaint, but a suggestion: provide a kettle to make tea. Also, we were often in the large living room to enjoy the view and sea air, but the room could use a coffee table in the middle to stage our wine glasses and snacks.

Stunning outlook, great location, roomy and comfortable.

The apartment wifi indicated didn’t appear as an option and even my eSIM struggled with coverage. Access to the shower was quite tight.

Fabulous view from the apartment window, looking out over the harbour and the island opposite. Looks out into the castle, church and street below at the back of the apartment. Very spacious and comfortable.
