The staff were very friendly and kind, they even offered us free food. I loved the free flow green tea that we could make anytime. The onsen bath was amazing, I soaked four times. The toilets were clean and decent. Location-wise, it was perfect. It’s very close to the Sawando bus station, and you’ll be able to enjoy the footbath at night when people have already left the parking area. The staff are elderly, so our hearts really go out to them, not complaining at all!
They use an old style heater, so your things might end up smelling like oil 😂 but honestly, it was funny for us!

Onsen on-site despite very basic facility. Charming staff with almost no english. Only option for breakfast or lunch was instant noodles Dinner was shabu shabu hot pot sbd very delicious. Having to sit in flor ryokan style is not good for elderly Western body.
Very isolated location. No food options except catered dinner
