Very special and pleasant accomodation! The staff was so helpful. I stayed there just 2 or 3 weeks after they openend. I really enjoyed exploring the old school rooms, and staying in the mountains so close to nature. Next to the hotel is also a very well equipped outdoor shop, which was very useful to prep for the Nakasendo trail. There is also a wood factory in the same grounds, and a very cute little museum about the mountains, forest and nature. The pizza and additional snacks they provide in the evening (last order is 8pm) was also a life savior, since all the restaurants otherwise close at around 4-5pm in the town.

It was a bit cold in the building.

Great location for Nakasendo hiking. Spacious rooms and shared living areas. Good cafe and great breakfast.
