Chambre dhote Tatami

The host was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful, gave recommendations of the town. Even made egg sandwiches for breakfast! Great view to the town since it was located on a hill.

The sleeping area was a bit dusty and had some hairs. Not a huge problem though.

Is small guesthouse, on the hills, with a beautiful view from the window, welcoming host who has very good musical taste, I loved it selection, it is a very peaceful place, good for watching sunsets.

The Tatami bed, or mattress, wasn’t soft enough for me, it felt a bit like sleeping on a camping mat, but I loved the capsules style.

The little balcony shared used area is cute to sit and look out over the town to the lake.

Bed was super uncomfortable. Originally I was allocated to a hard mat futon, but I swapped to a soft futon, which was also incredibly uncomfortable. Have not had issues with futons elsewhere in Japan, but this was one was particularly uncomfortable. The pillow was also incredibly uncomfortable. Location was a bit tedious - from the station it’s a little walk with a long staircase climb. In return you get Greta views over the town. Owner’s are so so sweet and lovely, but it did feel a bit strange - lots of rules (some I’ve never experienced before, such as you cannot be in the apartment during the day).
