It was very clean. There were 3 beds, and lots of shelves. Good shower pressure.
Unclear signage on arrival about where to go, especially late at night. Giant nest of bees immediately outside the window. Opened the window to the bathroom to let some steam out and a bunch came in almost immediately. Also, it says it's air conditioned, but the air conditioner barely works. Definitely insufficient aircon capacity to cool down the whole room. It's located in Südtirol, on Boznerstraße, next to a Parkplatz and Mühlweg... 57% of the population here speaks German as first language... but the reception only spoke Italian and was real serious about only speaking Italian. Overall a fine place to stay for 1 night, just keep the windows closed.

It was clean, that’s it
The lack of service is what ruined it for me. When we got to the location the door was locked, so I rung the bell but there was no one at the reception, so if it wasn’t for another guest who entered and opened the door, we wouldn’t have got in.
The lady doesn’t speak English. She didn’t even try to explain where the things are, like the kitchen, whether we could make some tea/coffee or anything like that. Just handed the key and that’s it. By the way, breakfast isn’t included and the kitchen was locked. The lady was nowhere to be found so we couldn’t even ask whether we could use the kitchen.
When we asked for the iron she was yelling that it’s private and that she can iron our clothes for us for, if i remember correctly, 5 euros. The point isn’t even in paying extra but in the fact that the owners wouldn’t even care to explain how the things worked there. The guests I spoke to were just as clueless as I was.
The worst thing was that the lady got into our balcony from her room to water the flowers while we were in our room changing!!!! I was shocked!

Parking is free. Surrounding area is quite awesome and must be very beautiful during spring/summer. The lady reception although too loud and only speaks Italian, but overall she is nice and try to be very helpful. Check-in and check-out is very easy.
The signage to enter is small which resulted to u mistaken with the exit point.

It was clean and comfortable.
Cars/noisey street directly besides the hotel, but it´s quite when the windows are shut.

I didn't stay in the accomodation.
Five days before the booked date I informed the accommodation by e-mail that I am canceling my stay due to an unexpected accident of my traveling companion. Due to his injury he could not go on the trip so we canceled. So I asked for the calculation of only partial costs of a one-day stay. I also offered medical documentation. They didn't answer so I called by mobile and got an answer that they would reconsider and answer me. Since they didn't, I called again the next day. They said they would charge for everything but offered a 30% discount for next time... I understand they would charge if it was 5 or 6 or more days. But 1 day... and they didn't even care that it is an extraordinary event. What a pity. I will definitely not come to them next time despite the promised discount.

The room was spotlessly clean. If you’re on a road trip and looking for a place to spend the night - and that’s all - then Garni San Paolo is OK.
Unfortunately, the list is quite long.
First of all, you have to find the place and drive into the property. If you are coming from Meran or Bozen, Google made it very clear that one had to “turn right” to enter. The angle was so extreme that that was simply impossible. Only option: drive to the next road, turn around, come back, make sure the traffic was clear on a very busy highway, dart across it and up to the house.
Only apparently we drove further than we should have and a very unfriendly man told us to go back to the reception, which we had inadvertently driven past.
A not-very-welcoming woman appeared, confirmed my reservation and told me that I would be in the back on the second floor, where “it should be quieter.” No elevator, so I had to drag my luggage up two flights.
The room, as I say, was very clean but somewhat strange. Although apparently it had been recently renovated, the night tables were at least a meter from the bed and were permanently installed. To turn lights on or off, one had to get out of bed.
At some point, I wanted to eat something for dinner. There were no restaurants or stores to be found in the vicinity.
The biggest surprise came the next morning when I went down for breakfast, only to discover that, even though they bill themselves a “garni” the only breakfast to be had was out of a machine.
I’m sorry to be so negative but just about everything I expected as a traveler - other than a clean room - was lacking. When I left, the owner’s parting words (in Italian; she only spoke Italian) were that I should book directly next time and pay her in person. Needless to say, there will not be a “next time.”

At photos looks good. However, the location is close to very busy motorway. The breakfest is not included - either you can go to have breakfest to St.Paul (1 km) or you can do something on your own, but there is no room where to have breakfest (only outside there are two dirty tables). Surprisingly, the personal speak only Italian. The receptionist did not even try to speak English or German (despite the lication is in Sudtirol). I would not recommend this hotel.

We loved this place!! Room was very clean & very comfortable beds. Lots of space in the room & loved the terrace with gorgeous views. There’s a beautiful outdoor space too. This hotel is reasonably priced for the rooms. We can’t wait to come back.

Clean room. Nice host.
To find the entrance to this place at a rainy night is quiet tough. Some neon sign "ENTRANCE" would do the trick. Also, unfortunately they don't offer breakfast. Fairly busy/noisy road only metres away. Checkout by 10AM is also bit harsh.
