The location was very good, about 15-20 minutes walk from the O2 Academy. Be aware that the accommodation is above a loud music venue, hostel guests get free entry, so if you can't sleep soundly then you have two choices: join in or stay awake until 3am. The staff were really helpful, the bed was comfy and the facilities were exactly as you would expect. I would recommend Hootananny
The only slightly negative feedback I have is that the showers were on the cold side of lukewarm. Not too much of a problem when it's 30+ degrees outside, though.

Had to book in to this hostel at very short notice because my original accommodation fell through and I was really glad I did. The staff were excellent and the facilities were top class - the whole place has very secure locked doors and they have personal lockers to hold valuables, which was great piece of mind considering I had a few items that I really didn't fancy carrying around with me. They provided free earplugs (great because I has heading to a gig in Brixton and forgot to bring mine), as well as free tea, coffee, and breakfast cereal for the morning. It was great value and overall I was very glad that I ended up staying there. Wouldn't hesitate to go there again next time I'm in Brixton.

Very nice stay. Interesting people and happy to find people of all ages. Comfy sitting room and a large kitchen. Microwave and hob which was useful.
The toilet was far from the bedroom which was a bit difficult during the night. The bedrooms were a good size. Security was good and it felt safe. Music venue which was great. Went to a concert which was free.

it is a convenient location, every guest is given a locker (outside the room) which is nice, and beds are assigned. The bed was quite comfortable. Staff were helpful. There are several locked doors to go through to get in so it felt very safe. It wasn’t the cleanest but it wasn’t too bad.
The room had a bad smell and the hostel generally didn’t seem the cleanest. The pillow was also really thin. Nothing too bad though
