We had a good stay at first, but everything went downhill when it was time to get our deposit back.

The place is set in a beautiful area in Langebaan. We enjoyed visiting the Saturday market, spending time at the chilled beach, and taking in the beautiful coastal views. It’s a lovely spot to relax and unwind.

We had a good stay at first, but everything went downhill when it was time to get our deposit back. We were told stories and excuses, and to this day, we haven’t received our refund. The way they handled it was completely unprofessional and dishonest. We were falsely accused of damaging the countertop, yet when we asked for proof, none was provided. They also claimed there were stains (that looked like dried blood), but we had checked the place thoroughly before leaving and made sure it was spotless swept, cleaned the kitchen, folded the bedding, and left everything in order. The place itself needs serious improvement. There’s no washing machine, the pots are tiny, the main room TV is outdated, and there are no heaters for winter. The blankets were old, smelled bad, and the rooms were freezing. On top of that, the street is extremely noisy cars passing by all day and night. It’s a shame, because this could’ve been a nice place. But after being lied to about damages and having our deposit withheld without proof, I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation to anyone. Be careful dodgy is an understatement.

Nothing. It does have a nice - ish view.

Couches are in a horrid state. The blinds are so old they were falling apart. The oven didnt work and no one fixed it in the 7 days we stayed there over Christmas. There were stains on the bed sheets (looked like dry blood) Also note: They have no washing machine. The warm and cold tap is switched. The rooms have no curtains which means you will be awake by 5am because of the ditect light in the room. Extremely noisy street with cars 24/7. They took 50% of our deposit to clean the couches that we told them were stained upon arrival (we have Whatsapp messages we sent on the day of arrival informing them of all the above mentioned problems) They still took almost R1000 to clean couches and when we asked for proof that they cleaned the couches they couldnt give it to us. The team at Langebaan Holiday Homes are extremely rude and incompetent. They are in the guest service industry however I can say with 100% certainty that none of them have any prior professional experience dealing with guests. After reviewing them on other platforms I noticed that they make a habit of taking deposits.

Everything was amazing ,completely surpassed our expectations,great house,amazing service from woman at the check in desk .Would definitely recommend,would definitely consider booking again

Showered the morning ,placed bar of soap on the soap place in the bathroom and it immediately fell off with signs that it was glued,hoping I'm not billed

it's a nice house and private and quiet area

the staff charged us R1000 breakage deposit on arrival and they are refusing to pay it back. They wanted to charge us R250 for late arrival yet we got there on time. They are very rude when I ask for my deposit back
