The Towers - Llyn

Once inside the apartment the standard was very good. Everything was clean and the views of the sea were great. Alan

The look of the outside of the building had flaking paint and there were several broken tables chairs and umbrellas all over the front of the building. The hall and stairs carpets were dirty

The location is fantastic, which is why I booked it. Lovely, modern, clean, well resourced flat. Clean communal area too. Liked being able to get keys from lock box, so could arrive whenever.

It smelt of smoke, especially the towels. The smell was particularly noticeable in the bathroom and using the towels made us feel that we would end up smelling of smoke (we're both non smokers). Although the furniture was lovely and modern and looks great, the sofas were very short - it just means that you can only sit on them and not relax on them and as we have bad backs it would have been great to relax on them, rather than having to go to bed to lie down. The outside of The Towers gives a very different first impression to the reality (the outside of the building is neglected and definitely needs painting - it's the worst of the road) but inside the flat was great, other than the smell of smoke in particular.

The views were incredible, so handy for the beach! Shower was great, all kitchen equipment spot on.

Het uitzicht

Wij waren per ongeluk iets wat voor ons heel belangrijk was vergeten mee te nemen bij vertrek. Booking.com deed zogenaamd een poging contact te leggen, maar stuurde na 48 uur een bericht met wat telefoonnummers en een e-mailadres: zoek het zelf maar uit, ons lukt het niet. Op geen van de nummers en e-mailadressen werd opgenomen door Sykes Cottages of de lokale vertegenwoordiger, noch gereageerd op sms en onze e-mails. De sleutel van het appartement ging heel moeilijk, het was gedoe om binnen te komen elke keer. Het bed was van krakend hout met scheef geschroefde planken en een keiharde dunne matras. Het zitbankje was klein en oncomfortabel. Het reservoir van het toilet deed er eeuwen over te vullen. De paar pannen die er zijn, zijn allemaal gekrast/beschadigd en functioneren slecht op de kookplaat. Er was per persoon maar 1 handdoek voor een hele week. Niet alle ramen konden open. De gemeenschappelijke wasmachine zat vol schimmel en stonk. Bij aankomst stonden er ramen open en die zaten helemaal onder de insectjes. Er werd in het weekend door jongeren vuurtje gestookt (rook ging recht onze slaapkamer in), muziek gedraaid, gezongen en geschreeuwd onder ons raam op het strand tot 1 uur 's nachts. Het uitzicht is geweldig, maar bij The Towers zullen wij nooit meer terugkeren.
