Riad Fes Palacete

This place is like being in a museum. We see beautiful handcrafted work of all the things we are supposed to see in museum and in town. They are all there in this place. It is also super comfortable, airco is a must and worked very well.

The only down side is that there was only german tv channels on the satellite. No english speaking channels no normal tv access. Shower was too low for the boys. They had to bend to be under the shower! Location is not great: Also no nice restaurants around that place. No shops to buy food and snacks. At some point we were starving and it was very hot to walk outside to find decent food. Delivery is also not working as the Glovo driver is not allowed to enter the medina so food delivery requires also walking 5 minutes. And we missed the driver who did not wait. Inconvenient . So i recommend to make it a short stay: 1 day max.

The staff, Reeda and Hassan were amazing! Reeda helped us with whatever we needed, 24/7 and Hassan helped us navigate through the confusing medina walls. He always had a smile and was very gracious.

Toilet was leaking but staff attended to it as best they could. We are healthy and agile, but if you are not, make sure your room is not 50+ steps at the top of the riad. That can be tiring!

Excellent food and a wide variety of choices. The welcome was efficient and very warm

The whole place is unloved and sad. There is no attention to detail. It is greatly in need of refurbishment. It smells musty. The roof terrace is painted white. No shelter from the sun. The plants are dead. There is no thought for what guests would appreciate. The showerhead had so much limescale, it was like a strong tap hitting you. The price charged is 3x what it is worth. The guy on the front desk is very strange and not very welcoming
